  1. The bike was jetted fine. It never fouled plugs to the point that it wouldn't run. I could feel the throttle response and some of the low end go away when the plugs would start to go. Sure I could have ran them longer but it bothered me so I changed them. Like I said it mostly had to do with how and where we ride.
  2. I miss the arm pulling power, but I don't miss changing fouled plugs and messing with jetting everytime I ride. It's funny you say your friends can't keep up on the 4 strokes, that's what I went back to. I grew up on the 4 strokes and I missed the low end grunt. Don't get me wrong, the serval has great low end for a two stroke. But, alot of the time we are riding we have kids with us and putting through the dunes and trails on a two stroke and changing plugs every day isn't much fun. My friends still have trouble keeping up with me in the technical stuff, but I've been riding for 25 years and they only have a few years under their belts. I'm not winning a bunch of drag races, but I can ride all week long and not touch a spark plug or a jet. I had the bike for 6 years. Yeah, I didn't have the serval long but I am just done with the two stroke thing for now.
  3. Yes, check your compression multiple times. I checked mine after a couple heat cycles with the 22cc domes and it was at 155 psi. After it fully broke in I found out the hard way that it had gone up to about 173. It detonated, backed out the plugs and started to melt the o-rings in the head.
  4. It was my bike. Snop was helping me with it. The pc's ran awesome on there. 5th gear wheelies were not a problem even with the +6 swingarm. You could just be cruising and roll on the throttle and the front end would lift as you pushed on it. I don't think they held it back much on top either, never seemed to quit pulling. The pc's actually had more power than the cpi's and trinity's in the lower rpm's. I did not ride it with the other pipes, just dyno testing. And to the OP. I switched from a trail ported 4mil stocker on 110 race fuel and the serval would kill it on pump gas. It is tough to beat the serval on pump gas. It was a fun little motor.

We will be down on Tuesday and we are staying thru Sunday. Looks like we are going to have seven guys down there. Anyone else have their sites reserved yet?

  7. That's kind of what I was thinking. I will be there with at least 5 other guys. I'm looking forward to this trip, my wife and I just bought a house so our August trip is not going to happen. Sucks that I have to wait 2 months to get to the dunes again, but it will be worth it.

  15. The guy that bought it was from Washington. I don't think he is on the HQ. He was definitely excited about how nice and clean the bike was.
  16. As of right now, it looks like I will be there with 6 to 10 other guys. We usually try to do a guys trip in September. It will be nice if they get the dune access put in by then.
  17. I would really like to see this thing go! $3,900 OBO!!! We have an offer on a house right now and I could use the cash.
  18. Thanks for the bump! I'm sure we could arange shipping for this thing to your house.
  19. Zilla, The little black box is just a weatherproof inline fuse holder.
  20. Guys, I really would like to sell this thing complete. I don't really want the headache of tearing it apart and shipping everything. I will give it a little time and post it in a few other places. If it doesn't sell I may consider parting. Remember cash talks. Shoot me a number if you are interested, just no rediculous low ball offers. I would have to have the majority of the parts spocken for before I decide to part it, I can't afford to sit on half of a bike right now. If I decide to part it I will start a whole new thread with parts list and prices.
  21. Alright guys, the banshee has to go. The wife and I have a little one on the way and we are trying to buy a house at the same time. I bought this bike new in '05 and I am the only owner. I have the title in hand ready to go. The hotrods 4 mil crank was put in a little over 2 years ago and I was running stock cylinders on it until this spring when I put the serval cylinder on it. The bottom end probably has less than 50 hours on it and the top end only has one weekend on it. The bike runs great and is a wheelie monster even with the +6 swingarm. 22. I've ridden this bike a few times and I have to say it is one of the best tuned bikes I've ridden. It is dialed in perfectly, it never skips a beat. I rode it Memorial Day weekend with the new fox floats on the front and couldn't believe how well it soaked up the chewed up sand. It rides like a caddy and is pretty damn fast. The throttle response and usable power is awesome. You can't go wrong here, this is a killer deal!
