  1. Any help will be appreciated. But first I must start to get parts for mine or a parts bike to start the build.
  2. Thank you. you have got quite a few banshees there.
  3. Hi camp0429. That would be awesome if you have pics for me,any pics that you have would be welcome. I hope to get it as close to original as possible, but that would take time, this would be a long term project.
  4. Hi guys. I just bought a 1987 Banshee frame with the swing arm and front suspension with brakes. The are very rare in South Africa so I would like to restore it like it was bought new,or very close to new. I have got a lot of questions. The plan is to buy second hand parts and repair them. My first question is were the rims steel or aluminum. Are the front and rear shocks over the years the same. I want to get as much information as possible and start to collect parts,I hope you guys will be able to help me.
  5. hey guys,im from south africa,if got vitos cast pistons in my bike ,the pistons is still in very good condition,no i want to fit only new rings but i cant get any vitos rings in south africa,is there any other rings like pro x or wiseco or even yamaha rings that will fit these pistons, any hlp will be apreciated
  6. can anyone please give me the size on the clutch ball of the banshee
  7. check if your right hand side exhaust didnt burn of the wires ,check for any broken of wires and last option, check if there isint any water in your stator or there might be a winding on your stator that might be burnt off, please let me know what you find
  8. Check if your head gasket is not blown, myne did the same, fill up the water, dont fit the radiator cap, start it and let it idle, check if there are any bubbles or close the filler with your hand,if there is a pruesure built up,then it is your head gasket
  9. check if stator didint burn the wires around the corners
  10. Firstly, change your plugs, maybe fouled,if not plugs, check your kill switch, and then remove your stator, maybe a broken key, check your stator, check your coil wires around the sharp corner if it broke or burnt off, myne burnt the wires at one stage, check that and please let me know if you found the problem
