You could try the 17 up front , keep the 38 rear. You can put a 37 on it. if u buy the honda rear sprocket setup you can get smaller sprockets on the rear. i no of people runing rear sprockets as small as 33. A lot of our 1/8th mile bikes with similar set ups are eithr 16-38 or 37 or 17-38 or 37. do us really well and have been in the 5s. its trial and error but we dont use that tire. we use american racers and they hook exceptionaly well on the street. just buy a couple different sprockets and make some passes at the track. good luck
