Hey guys,My banshee's front passenger wheel sits al bent and when u drive on the road,it sometimes lifts off the ground too.
My rim has i small dent on it,but wouldnt think that this is the problem.
Also my banshee has yfz450 shocks in the front.and when u lift the bike up at the front the driverside wheel is on the ground and the passenger wheel is lifted up a couple of inches.
Would my banshee need lining or any new parts up front that are worn.
Has any1 else had this froblem when they installed yfz450 shocks???????????????????
Many thanks Micky

I dont know much about them,
They came of my banshee that was supermoto equipped,,
I took them off as they where too low for motocross and trail riding
They are purple with REIGER wrote on them
And when they where on the shee it was about 4 inches of the ground when u sat on her
-
did u figure it out?
Yip finally got it lol
My swinger had an adjustable link on it,but i couldnt see it when i was looking at it as it was hidden up inside the swinger lol!
Thanks for all your help

If you can get pics it would really help us out
Il get some up tomorrow of the rear shock an dogbone,,Thanks alot guys
-
Pics would really help us out on this
I think my dogbone has a longer than stock arm on it!Which makes it sit lower?
By me saying arm i mean the bit that bolts onto the swingarm guys
Anyone ever see one like this
-
You might have a lowering kit in the rear still or you shock is blowen.
The lowering link is were the dog bone should be. the lowering kit has 3 diff hole is bottom one being stock, 2 hole up is 1''1/2 lower and the 3rd hole is 3'' lower check to see if that what u got
No shock nat blown,my dogbone linkage has a longer arm that bolts into the swingarm,
Which i think is making it sit lower, any of u guys ever see one of these linkages with the longer than stock arm?
Oh an by me saying arm i mean the bit that bolts to the swinger!
-
To start of with i took the 3 reiger lowering shocks off the shee.
Then put YFZ 450 shocks up front and stock shock in the rear.
My Banshee now sits like a chopper when i sit on it lol
Would there be any mods in the rear of the shee to keep her low to the ground at the rear, even with the stock shock in?
Can anyone tell me if there is anything that would keep the shee low at the rear? And what it looks like?
Im Puzzled
Many thanks
-
got any pics?? is your shock any good??? it might have lowering link or something for tt racing on it ..
Now that u mention that about a lowering link,my dogbone link sits really really low to the ground.
Can u buy lowering dogbone links?
Maybe this is my problem, mine sits roughly 2-3 inches from the ground when i sit on the shee?
Many thanks

You need to get some shocks that are made for the banshee 14 3/4" long. Or you can get you some +2+1 a arms, which if your setting up for trail/mx, would be a good idea any way. The +2 arms will work alot better with the 450 shocks.
What kind of shock, can you get the stock shock set up?
And are the front a arms expensive to buy?
Do you know what size stock a arms are,so i can measure mine to see if they are stock or after market!
I havent a clue lol

Hi,well im setting my banshee up for motocross an trail riding,i have yfz450 front shocks an a stock rear shock, but when i put the front shocks on an the rear stock shock in my shee now sits like a chopper!LOL
My bike was set up for supermoto racing when i bought it,
I know very little about setting up the bike lol
I measured my rear swinger an its 16-17 inches long,is this a stock swinger or is it bigger or shorter than
stock?
And what would cause my banshee to sit like this?
I thought maybe th swinger!?!?!?!?
Can any1 help me asap as im running out of patience lol!
Thanks alot guys

Hey my swinger is 16 or 17 inches long, could anyone tell me is this +2 +4 or what, i dont have a clue lol!!
What size is stock swingers an would they be beter for trail riding that my 16 or 17 inch one?
Many thanks in advance

What size is a stock swingarm,i measured my swingarm an its 16-17 inches from axle center to the pivot bolt.
is this a shortend or lenghened swingarm?
What size of a swingarm would i need for motocross an a bit of off trail riding?
And if it was a longer swingarm would this be why the shee sits like a chopper lol
-
not sure what your bolt to bolt is but if it is shortened it would only make it better for tt or mx... but i think stock is 14in from pivot bolt to center of axle... but not positive
My bolt to bolt is centre of axle to the pivot bolt as u said, but the shee still sits very low at the back, why would this be?
I have a stock rear shock an yfz450 shocks in the front
When i sit on her its like sitting on a chopper lol she just sinks at the rear!!!Why???????
Is this to do with the swinger

OK bought my banshee an it was prepared for supermoto racing.
I wanted to leave her ready for motocross,so i bought 2 front shocks an a rear shock.
Put them in an realised the back of the quad was still far too low.
I then measured my swingarm an its 16 or 17 inches from bolt to bolt roughly.
I think that this is the problem(the swingarm)
Is this a shortened swingarm or what.
I am running out off patience so please Help Me
Thanks for your help guys its very much appreciated

i take it where it says ac magneto, that this is actually the stator. And i just look for the wires coming of that then to the regulator then to the battery.
If there actually not there i guess i have to wire it up myself to the stator
Thanks for all your help guys,i appreciate it alot

i think the powervalve gives u more power down low. it broadens out the powerband. cant u manually set it if the batttery is dead? i beleive riding with it set all the way open would be like not having it if u wanted to try it.
I can drive the bike with the battery not working,an the powervalve not going, but its better fun with it goin, much faster lol
Thanks alot
-
Thanks alot guys,im no electrical wizard so im still not sure if i should atempt this myself lol
But i mite give it ago, when i get the rest of the bike sorted,
Also i take it the powervalve is an electrical component as it needs a battery to run it,
Im new to owning a quad so sorry if come over as a stupid guy lol
Is the powervalve really any good?
-
Thanks thats shows me a bit of insight on wat i need to get,
Now lol where is that stator located,an wats does DC conversion mean?
Im new to this Banshee stuff lol but ill het the hang off things soon enough
-
pictures of your bike
Oh rite,il get pics up tomorrow maybe, the battery is actually positioned behind the front bumper, with a few wires leading to the lights an the powervalve at the exhaust,
Thats all they dont go anywhere else so i want to install sumthing to charge the battery
Need HELP ASAP
