how can you tell if your crank is a stroker or not? besides measuring 53 to 58. or if your piston comes to the top of the cyclinder. my crank is a shiny steel color and it says hotrods on the sides.
so i need to rebuild my top end. tonight i started tearing it down. took the cyclinders off and then i noticed a little sand and dirt feel off the cyclinder when i was pulling it off. it got on the crank and i dont think i got all off. whats the worse that can happen? also how do i get it out without rippin the case apart? open to all suggestions. thanks!

it came off a 95, as far as i know the crank,clutch,gears,are fine sold as is! ive never broke open the case
