Ok ill buy some 360's and maybe 370's for tomarrow, I don't think it will hurt too much just for break in since the only WOT ill be doing will be to check the plugs. Ill take back the jets in the picture so I guess thats not an issue anymore. I can always buy them again later if needed. The people at motoworld think im crazy for having 350's in there now, they are like drop down to 310's! lol Just from the one ride im impressed with passionRE's work. The real test though will be thanksgiving, I think I'll be heading to gordons. just gotta come up with $90 for the season pass now...Damn, us students get taxed every chance the government gets, 30% tuition increase this year throughout Cali! Wheres the govornator? maybe he will open our deserts back up so he can drive his hummer through them

thanks Ben, I took it out for a drive with the porting, and Im scared to ride this thing on the street now, I never made it out of 3rd, but every time I hit the powerband HOLD ON TIGHT! Porting was money Well spent, I think it made a bigger difference than the pipes and K&N filter I have 350's in it now and there was no bog at WOT, I coulden't do the WOT test on the street, but when I pulled the plugs they were a little grey on the electrodes. So im guessing if anything 350's are lean? Might jsut take these back and get some 360's instead. As of r the 32.5 Pilots, they eliminated alot of the bog taking off, but when I pull the choke out the bike dies, screws at 1.5 turns...This mean they are too big?
-
they made your throttle response worse?
-
What ratio do you mix the Super M at? I mix it at 32:1 and have alot of oil pouring out the back of both silencers. The bike runs awesome and the plugs look great, just alot of left over oil. Thanks. In the gas bikes we usually mixed at 40:1, have gone as far as 50:1 with no noticable side affects. I preffer a little more oil than really needed, just for the safety factor. I would rather clean a little oil off the pipes, then rebuild the engine. Justin, if it was me I would ask the builder ( I think he gave his input allready) a couple of oils that he suggests to use. Try them and find the one that my motor and I both agree on. I would then run that one like its goin out of style... The thread here is one of those personal prefference threads, kinda like which pipes are better...Everyone has there own opinion on which is better and why. but isn't there some key differences from bean oil and full synthetic like amsoil or MC1?
-
if you go to the FMF website they have some ballpark figures. they recomend a 30 pilot with a 300 main jet for K&N airbox removed and Fatty pipes Ibelieve but go check it out for yourself
-
These are both 340 jets but the top is tappered in differently...I didn't notice this untill I was home from the store. Should I take them back? Also, After Installing the 32.5 Pilots the hesitation on take off is lessened, but now when I pull the choke out the bike dies???

damn that sucks shoulder injuries take forever to heal. I fractured my shoulder in May and Im still having problems. I talked the doctor out of surgery "see I can move it all the way around im better" ouch! which may have been a bad idea..The ligaments take forever to heal and sometimes without surgery they won't go away. They said I damaged my rotator cuff, and it was nothing as serious as yours. Still hurts me sometimes (usualy after lugging around my 60 lb backpack around college) but I think im finaly getting over it, it has been a week or 2 now without any pain. Handlesbars are only a little tweaked and I didn't even roll my shee jsut flipped it on its side, Guess The ground was just hard and I scratched up the side of my stomach and chest pretty good in the slide. Good luck and hope you have a speedy recovery, shoulder injuries suck. year before I had all the bones in my toes fused together and had to get used to riding again without being able to bend them etc, and then last summer the shoulder thing...its always something for me lol... Seriously though make sure you exercise it and stretch it when you start to get more comfortable with it, it will help in the long run.

Pilot Jet Stuck In Carb :(
Justintoxicated replied to Justintoxicated's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
they are both removable? I just don't understand how I managed to compleatly stip off the top so that there is no groove, its lamost as if there never was one, But i swear I see a jet in both carbs, althought he stripped one almsot looks like it came that way now...I mean its not like I used excessive force or anything it just never caught on the jet.. Anyways I threw tham all back together My stock pilots were only 25's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just went up to 32.5's! I hope this is not too drastic... I thought stock pilots were 27.5's????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? -
thats what I'd like to know heh. I still cant decide between these 3 oils. Im kinda afraid of the castor 927 gunking up my engine, but maybe with the port work that is the way to go. But How does it compare to a synthetic oil like MC1 or Amsoil? I don't ride much in damp locations.

Pilot Jet Stuck In Carb :(
Justintoxicated replied to Justintoxicated's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I think im just going to blast it out with cleaner, Hope I never need to change the choke jet...The part that is stripped are the threads on top of the jet, and the top of the jet no longer has a slot in it to unscrew it from (not sure what happened to it) so I think its lodged in there permanently. It might be removable by drilling it out in reverse but that sounds risky and since there is no point in changing it I guess Ill just leave it alone.?? -

Pilot Jet Stuck In Carb :(
Justintoxicated replied to Justintoxicated's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
yea I got the ones for the banshee( not sure if its the right one its the 32.5 though), the jet im talking about that is stuck is in the right carb and the left carb, the one it got stuck in was the right. I have no clue what its for. Next time you take off a stock carb and take the bettem off look into the hole right above the brass tube (on the bottem part you remove), there a little jet in there, I can't see what the hell its used for as it look slike it passes right into metal. Is this still the choke jet? it has a 1.4 marked on it on the one I pulled from the left side. I'm not sure if I screwed it up or not because its hard to see all the way down in the hole, And now I made it impossible to remove but the local shop said it should not be a problem as long as it is not clogged, so im going to blast it out with carb cleaner. These carbs just need to last me untill summer. -
all too true

Getting Screws Out Of Engine Case
Justintoxicated replied to rebelbanshee2's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I just grabbed the tip of the head of the screw with channel locks and turned it like a wrench heard a SNAP though, tossed the screw in the trash and replaced it with an allen set. All else fails give it a shot jsut make sure you clap it on tight. -
looks good but one thing I noticed is that we can no longer edit the topic after we post. Sometimes there are spelling errors and as soon as I post its locked.

Pilot Jet Stuck In Carb :(
Justintoxicated replied to Justintoxicated's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Ok I made a little mistake Paul when you said the bottem of the carb i took it literaly and pulled a screw form teh bottem of the carb! Not jsut the under part but the bottem piece itself. If you look in one of the holes there is a screw that looks identical to the pilot jet, only it says 1.4 on it! So I replace the wrong jet-screw thign in my opther carb...The lcoal shop said there is absolutly no reason I should ever have to remove this screw anyways so ill jsut blast it out with carb cleaner and I don't think it will give me any troubles ever since no1 even seems to know what it is for. Well guess im learning the hard way about these things, the onyl jets I ever changed before were the main ones and I the needle settings so I wasent sure what I was looking for. The screw i removed is threaded the same and even has teh same shape to it etc...But its alot shorter...Looks like im ok then as long as i never need to remove this screw before I buy my 33mm flatslides. -

Justintoxicated replied to Justintoxicated's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I can't get it out I don't think there is a way, There were some aluminum shaving from spinning the screw driver so im pretty sure I wiped all the threads except for the ones holding the pilot in,- who knows what those look like because there is no way to get the pilot out. -
Pilot Jet Stuck In Carb :(
Justintoxicated replied to Justintoxicated's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I didn't get it out at all, but the stock pilots are much shorter than the new ones I was attempting to put in, so I messed up some of the threads. The pilot is still stuck in the carb I don't think there is any way to remove it -
Getting Screws Out Of Engine Case
Justintoxicated replied to rebelbanshee2's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
on of mine was loged in there too, I used a pair of channel locks to get it out. replaced with alen head screws also. -
Well I decided to try out some new pilots I purchased 32.5's for the new port work and pipes etc... The first one installed with ease, but when I went to take out the second one it stripped out and its lodged in the carb Somone please tell me I don't have to buy new carbs! how the hell can I remove the jet? update: I tried to get it out and it looks like I have now also torn up the threads for a new one to go in, So im guessing im Compleatly fucked now, no Riding untill next year... Worst part of all I have no idea why this happened, the other one came out so fucking easy!

Bhq Trivia.. Do You Have What It Takes?
Justintoxicated replied to banshee370's topic in General Banshee Discussion
id like to know for next time, not that ill win or anything anyways -
Well When I did the same mod I STOCK -> Fatty's, K&N, and Air box lid removed, I went up 10 jet sizes for the main and one more position on the needle from the top 320 main, stock needle on 4th clip position, stock pilot jet Im at sea level though and It was a little on the rich side... you needle is already on a different clip and your main jets are already much smaller so you must be at some funky elevation? I would lower your needle clip one position from what its at, and try going up roughly 10 jet sizes or more like BenBB said.

Some Suggestion Jetting?
Justintoxicated replied to Justintoxicated's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Ok. The plugs I have in it are almost new but have been run, When I get home tonight Ill toss in a new set of plugs and let it idle for 15 min and ill take a look. I know I won't need to go down a size cause I don't know how to get them smaller than stock thanks again Ben, that jetting article is great, I printed it out and it now has a home next to that free manual that was floating around
