  1. Yes, I started with the dune/hillshoot, and then sent my cylinders back to Kevin a year later for the drag. I ran my stock swing arm for two seasons and loved it, keep two things in mind though... I am at 5000 feet, so I am making less power than most who do not run at this high ele. And I love to wheelie. I now have a +3 arm and think it is perfect.
  2. I see more than a "couple hundred" difference on Kevin's website... almost 500 extra to go the cub over a stock cylinder setup. Aside from the money, I wanted to experience a stock cylinder setup, and I honestly thought 80 hp would be enough. Now I get to savor the cub for a while, and when I am done with that... maybe a DM? I really enjoy building the banshee.
  3. Hey Titan, yes I went to a cub. I wish I could answer that question right now, as I am excited to know. I have only run my cub up and down the street a few times, I wont have an answer until I tune a little bit and get the cub out on the hill and in the dunes. From the little street riding I did, the cub did not feel much different from my stock cylinder. Kevin told me that a non ported cub would not be much better than my drag ported stockers... so far I would say he is right. Our season will start in a couple of weeks, and I will get back with you on this topic.
  4. Just so you know... my drag port is not peaky, it makes much more power at ANY rpm over my bolt on banshee, and screams up top. I have had the four mil in for just over 3 dunes seasons now.
  5. I have a HJR 4 mil stock cylinder setup. I crush all stock stroke ported banshees at choke cherry! You will be blown away with the difference, and reliability has been no different from when my banshee was strictly bolt on. On a side note, I have a brand new 4 mil crank for sale, along with my drag ported HJR cylinders, pistons, and domes. PM if interested.
  6. I swore off going to Glamis after we camped next to the Aryan nation... they drew a massive swastika with gasoline and lit it on fire! Gordons, does not seem to get as many crazies.
  7. Stellar for sure... Tim is the best! And that 611 R looks very impressive.
  8. I think you could be rich too. I have all the mods below and run 142, 42, cel on 2nd from top. I am 5000 feet though.
  9. Thats what I thought. 3 in 6 does not sound bad...
  10. Perfect description of what I love about riding my banshee in the dunes... I agree, for real fast MX style dunning, 450 based quads are the way to go.
  11. Did you buy them brand new? If so, when?
  12. Do you prefer your LTR to the banshee you sold?
  13. Well done! I think the shearer's sound different/better than the CPIs, my 4 mil cub with CPIs sounds good, but your 10 mil with shearers sounds great!
  14. I am running 19cc domes at 5000 feet. running straight AV gas LL100. +7 timing. I hope it is a big improvement over my HJR 4 mil stock cylinder drag port.
  15. Thanks for the feed back Titan. I just installed a cub, could have gone with the serval but changed my mind at the last minute. Hope I don't regret it.
  16. Hey Titan, when you went from the cast to the ported cub, was it a noticeable increase in power, and where was the increase? Worth the $300?
  17. Tim at stellar posted an apology yesterday about not answering the phone, he is super busy right now. He said to send him an email. if you are not going any bigger than +4 and rec riding on it, I would only consider a round tube style arm. That is going to be your best bang for the buck.
  18. I went with a +3, it is perfect for dunning, keep in mind I love to wheelie on demand. I weight 210 lbs and only had to stiffen the preload about 6-7 turns and the factory rear shock works great. Stellar is the place if you want a great swinger!
  19. do you have any pictures of the pipes? are they the new style?
  20. Got a fly wheel, pm me your email and I will send you some pics.
  21. What needle are you running? the mains and pilot sound rich. at 5000 feet I am 42, 142, and the CEL needle on 2nd from the top. with the mods below.
  22. I don't know about you guys... but any excuse I can come up with to call a builder to try and learn something... I am all over!! I love talking to those guys, I have to be careful though, they are busy. I think I wore out my welcome with Kevin just a little...
  23. Yes, St. Anthony does kick ass!
