I unplugged mine and pulled the wire from the throttle it runs fine you sure it was tors you unplugged?

I wouldnt be spending any money on any of it except the red radiator plastic, but i do plan on buying pipes and reeds and a water pump impeller but thats it for a while. i have 7 projects im working on and i drag ass on all of em lol

when do you recal me saying shiny is slow? dont go putting down someones thread because you didnt get what i was saying (which by the way was the fact that everyone throws pointless keywords on there ebay auctions like saying dune,sand for a damn throttle cover.) I like purple but if i kept purple id do the tank and radiator carbon fiber and have chrome rimes. I had yellow and blue on my blaster (avatar pic) and i just got sick of it.

I am thinking of getting white front and rears, white tank covers, red radiator plastic, pc red frame, a red seat w/ custom redwings logo, and custom redwings sidecase insert. and some redwings tank decals, you guys think this would look retarded or alright? I love the wings but I dont want my bike to look retarded (it looks dumb now and i don't like the way it feels lol) also any other ideas would be appreciated.

Last hunting season i decided to take my old xr200r out for a ride because it was getting close to snowing and i wanted one last ride out of her for the year, well I take off and turn down this path in my driveway and hammer it by the time i hit 5th gear i was almost to the end so i start slowing down and right as im about to downshift to 4th i see the tell tale sign of a freshly dug hole in my path well i decided to go left since i was going to fast to stop and then all of a sudden my bike is sliding on its side dragging me under it well half under it, Finally it slams into a tree and i hit my chest on the crossbar. I laid there for a good ten minutes before i could get the bike up as it was wedged under a branch and i was under it, by the time i limp back pushing my bike my chest is killin me i cant even breath so i just drop my bike on the ground and go inside and lay down.... my dad asked if i was ok i said yes so he said he was going out to deer camp for the night. well i ended up calling him to take me to the e.r. and found out i had 4 broken ribs and had broke my sternum in half after i healed up i walked to the scene of the crash and noticed what i hit to make me wreck was a shovel. my bike suffered a broken frame, bent crossbar courtesy of my chest and popped front tire and blown out fork seal, i got rid of the bike i swore id never ride another dirt bike, then a week later i got a yz...... but thats a story for another time.

I started this thread because I think it would be helpful for all of us guys that are building on a budget and don't want to get screwed, so maybe we can get some hints on parts that are ok to buy off ebay, like i saw a set of fmf fatties for 100 bucks with silencers, anything to look for when buying used pipes? thanks for the help. :biggrin:

I think your all on the right track .....first get yourself some weisco stickers and place them exactly above your jugs but make sure you rejet otherwise its all pointless also you need to get a carbon fiber tank cover and radiator shroud and trim your front fenders to improve the aerodynamic coeficient of the quad. and for gods sake dont go around giving out the secret.

yeah i never thought about the 9 mil confusion lol i didnt know there were four and two stroke carbs i thought it was as simple as a needle valve swap. the hot start was a question because i was looking through a dk catalog and noticed them on clutch levers. what does troll mean though ive seen it before online somewhere just cannot remember where. thanks.
