a few years back i was riding with t5s in shorts in the summer and i got a 3rd degree burn from the left header, and still have the scar from it.... never since i will ride in shorts.

id go with reeds, deff v force 3, that will run your budget right there.

Yeah sell it to me so i can give it to my girl, but any ways.. mine was very reliable, then one weekend i droped a grande in to the motor out of no were, they aint cheap to maintain. make sure you are using good coolant an oils.

i was nervous, never did it before and didnt want to regret doing it, but i looked up plastics and full fronts are about 150 shiped so i said if i rely hate it ill just buy another set, but im glad i did it i think it looks sooo much better now.

i have the +4 stroker, pistons, and clutch from them. havent rode it enough yet to tell you how they are, some pple say their junk, then some swear by them .....

I cut my fronts the other night, i went with something different i havent seen it done yet, im sure its out there tho. but just wanted to share.... i taped them off, no measuring, and grabbed a jig saw and went to town. i need to get a pic from the back tho.

they hold good, they wer just a pain to get on. but if you use a blow dryer it will be all good. i was going to use spray glue but i figured the backing would get stuck on too.

thanks for the quick imput guys, it was bone stock with fatty head pipes and +4 timing when she went. Yes im using stock carbs with a 260 main jet. Stock head that is shaved my compression is still pretty weak but much better than before, but i was hoping there would be more compression, ill have to do a test. Yes it was a night and day diff, it didnt even feel like the same bike any more. sucks i wasn't dressed to ride, i was only on it for about 10 mins, then it got too damn cold.

a mashine shop called "shumakers" in woodbine nj, they build hot rods and what not. all they did was punch and port it, no polishing.
