  1. I don't think i'm gonna be able to make it this weekend. Are there alot of trails up there too? Enough to keep the 4x4 guys happy too? My ride group demographic is going that way, but not me. Hey, you're from Bristol, I used to go to PJ"S glass or golden slipper, and the manhatten club they still up there?
  2. I did a mapquest to that town from mine at the jersey shore and it said 4 1/4 hrs, i can make it to the bridge in 1 1/4 if i'm really hustling so maybe 3 & 1/2 by the blue route. Is it about 2 hours from the commodore barry bridge? I checked out some videos on youtube and it looks pretty cool. Is it legal to ride there, or do you need a registration, or what.
  3. How many minutes real driving time is it to there from the walt whitman bridge in Phila, pa?
  4. As far as a Banshee, I kinda like the fact that it doesn't have an electric start. You never have to worry about battery maintenance. Also, it kicks over fairly easy, so no problems there. I like the kickstarter too, except when you lose your kickstarter.
  5. I have been informed that these are actually 35mm, from the number on the side of the carb. When measured with a ruler they measure between 36 and 37 mm on the inside of the motor side of the carb. Sorry for doing this as a reply, but I cannot figure out how to edit the original post.
  6. Yes, they are setup for gas. The price was $300. I thought that I put that in there , sorry
  7. I have a pair of Keihin 36 mm PWK carbs with billet oversized bowls, intake, airbox boots, and throttle cable. I purchased used for my banshee, and never installed as they are too much carb for my motor. they were taken off what I was told was a running banshee. I merely want to recoup my money and put it towards a port job and get carbs later. the slides operate smoothly, i pulled the bowls off and they looked clean, any questions please ask. I am in NJ in the 08204 zip code. I took photos, and will try to attach, if they don't show up, and you are interested send me an email address and I will email. http://i519.photobucket.com/albums/u355/ae...ad/100_4304.jpg http://i519.photobucket.com/albums/u355/ae...ad/100_4305.jpg http://i519.photobucket.com/albums/u355/ae...ad/100_4306.jpg
  8. I read an article on a website about breaking in motors that I thought was interesting. But it basically said to you have to run it hard to seat the rings. It is pretty interesting so I just tracked it back down and attached it. He talks mostly about sport bikes, but claims it applies to everything else. http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm
  9. Thanks, I think thats what I'm going to do. What do you guys think they are worth? They have the intakes and airbox boots, the throttle cable, and they also have the oversized billet bowls. I don't have the stock bowls. What carbs do you guys recommend?
  10. "port it" Yeah, I was thinking that I want to go that route at some point, but should I keep the stock carbs or go with the 36's or something inbetween? Who should I get to port it, I was looking at the HSR website I found from a post here, and I had called Trinity last week, but I saw some negative comments about Trinity as well. What is the usual turnaround time on port work?
  11. I have a fairly stock Banshee with some bolt on parts(see sig), I followed the directions for the jetting that came with the T5's and the bike has run flawlessly since everything was installed. I was thinking about new carbs and I located and bought a pair of used 36mm Keihin PWK carbs with intake and airbox boots., but I have not installed them yet. I do all of my riding at sea level, and it is mostly trail and gravel pit riding. I have enough power now to kill myself, however when we line up on the road to race I can't stand losing. So, my dilema is: should I install the carbs or just sell them? I guess what I am looking for is a little more top end, with an increasE across the whole power band. From what I've read in other posts, I think these carbs are going to be too big. Should I sell them for port work, aND rejet the stock ones, or trade them for a more appropriate carb for my bike and riding conditions? What should I do???? Thanks in advance.
  12. Has anyone ridden at the 100ft hill lately? I haven't been there in a while, and last I heard it was on lockdown. Hey 4strokessuck, I saw you had 20cc domes from your signature, Will your quad run on 93 or 94 octane, or do you need the aviation fuel? I was thinking about trying them on mine, I have 21cc now.
