Worthless assholes!!!!!!

  5. thanks for all the help guys. I will have him get the kit from vito's. I will let you know how it works
  6. so your saying that when the tors is removed you have to install idle screws? Is this most likely the prob. on this bike? all that was done on my bike when i bought it.
  7. another thing. his carbs dont have an external idle screw. mine has external screw and spring set up. they look like stock carbs. mine is a 93 and his is a 97. also the clip on the needle was mentioned. where should it be? I dont remember where it was at off the top of my head.
  8. sorry. I ment the air screws. I havent checked for any other airleaks. if there was an airleak wouldnt it want to lean and raise the idle?
  9. hey guys. friend of mine just bought a 97. It has DG pipes and tors removed. to the best of my knowledge its at 65mm. it also has a twist throttle. Ive been playing with it a little bit. the damn thing will not idle. I checked that the carbs are in sync. I reset the idle screw to 2 turns out. the choke lever is all worn out so i took the one out of my banshee and that didnt help. I also checked the choke tube and doesnt appear to be in bad shape. it will idle if i keep pressure on the throttle. not enough to move the slides. as soon as i let go of the throttle it dies. I tried adjusting the cables to keep a little pressure on the slide and it didnt help. once its off idle the bike runs good. it bogs for a sec. if you idle to long then it will pick up. the bike was purches from a guy in this area. the jetting is for this elevation. the guy said that it has always done this since the twist was installed some years ago? and yea i tried to adjust the cable at the handle bars. I dont know what jets are in the bike. idle jet carries from idle to about quarter throttle right? it seems to do ok in that range. any help would be great.
  10. sounds like what happened to me on my craptor. it took me almost 2 hours to get the axle out of the carrier. If the housing is chewed up that bad the bearing may be cocked in the bore of the carrier. keep trying it should come out. Sometimes going easy with it works better than beating the hell out of it. Good luck.
  11. that looks good bk "bump" I sent a pm
  12. I tried Arizona Hard Chrome. They only do industrial chrome. such as hyd. cylinders and internal pump parts. They said go to someone who does plating. They didn't know anyone either.
  13. If you polish some steel stuff such as the stock foot pegs, can you clear coat them and prevent the nasty rust and dulling?
  14. I can't seem to find any place in Phoenix, AZ that does chrome plating. As big as this hell hole is, there has to be some place. Do you guys have any suggestions? ::
  15. Thanks alot turbo. That doesn't sound so bad at all. Like I said earlier. that little engine makes me nervous. I will let you know how the project goes. Its going to be a while but it is comimg. Where do you suggest getting the 4mill cub kit?
  16. I asked earlier about an engine builder in the phoenix area. Im looking to do a 4mill with cubs. After checking prices im a little sticker shocked. Is it that difficult to install the crank and cylinders? I am a mechanic by trade, but I work on and around 3450hp Detroit's and million pound haul trucks :miner: . That little engine makes me nervous. besides the fact I have never been in a two stroke before.
  17. Thanks for the help shee4speed. Is HJR a machine shop only? Do they sell components like cubs?
  18. I appriciate the help with D&M and Hall thats a good start. Has any one had any work done by these guys? Thanks for the heads up on RATV. So are you saying stay away from HJR too? Where is FAST located? I live in Gold Canyon
