  1. My banshee is having the cold start problem also, I took my filters off and held my hand over the carbs and it started right up.. wtf!!! Im taking my carbs off now and giving them a good cleaning ill let you know what my experinces are.
  2. I dont see the elevation finder! I searched google and this doesnt seem right but says my elevation is 25? X_X (Wilmington NC 28409!) stock juggs stock timing, 21cc domes, fmf gold pipes. cool head, vforce 3 reeds, No airbox. And thats it. Thanks for the help I wanna get this fixed soon before I start getting in deeper then my pockets will allow me.
  3. No airbox just bolt on filters, and yeh 1 cly looks way to lean and the other looks real oily X_X! No I havnt rejet im not sure what jets are in the carb its not stock tho when I bought the jet I was given a bag of jets. whats some good recommendations on jet sizes? (im in Wilmington NC 28409) not sure my altitude. I went to the track tonight 1/8th mile, with the small amount of mods I got. I pulled 1.7 60 foots, and 7.90's. the bike is just running like trash, 1 cly is deff doing its job the other is barley making any noise and running way to lean. looks as if a rebuild/ new jugs are in my very near future lol. I guess a 4mill crank is going to go in sooner then I thought . Gotta love money pits! It actualy kick started tonight after about 100 kicks tho lol.
  4. I had a stock banshee I put on fmf pipes, cool head and V force 3 reeds all at the same time. Ok the 4 wheeler started up first kick good about the first 5 times I rode it, Now a week later... the thing wont cold start AT ALL. I have to pull start it, ive changed the plugs adjusted the air screw, I have a Tors removal kit sitting beside me but dont wanna put it on yet cause I might upgrade carbs. I just dono what could cause it to start great for a week then the next week not start at all. after I get it warmed up after a pull start I barley have to kick it and it fires up... I still have good compression in both clys. Im at a loss!! im sure the jetting is off but it just dosent make sense that it starts good for 1 week and I make no changes and the next it doesnt start even after new plugs and fuel. Any help would be great. Btw how many turns on the air screw is good, im at 1 1/2 but not sure if thats good ( I just used that on my 450 )

  6. well it wont be fast this season but next season it will be! (if I keep it that long and I hope I do lol) When I got it 2 weeks ago Bone stock cept pipes and nerf bars. after 2 weeks! still waiting on +10 Swing arm, and drag axle. What ive added so far, Lowering links, new rims and tires, Cool head, Vforce 3 reeds. I think it looks great! It will be a sorta slow build but im gonna commit to it! By the way... how do I make this forum show all the post when I click a thread and not just 1 post and have to click the rest. so annoying.
  7. I dono thats a good question. Im so clueless there is so many different types of banshee builds its hard to say what I want. I want 6's in the 1/8, I want to run on race gas or 93. If this can be done with a small engine for cheap.. thats what I want! Im really having a hard time finding the answers to my questions in searches.. but then again I dont want to post them all and look like an idiot I really just want to try and stay with a stock stroke bolt on kit... If I dont have to rip into my bottom end I dont want to. but there is also so many different builders out there I dont know whos good for what price or anything of the sort.

  9. Hey hey, I just got my banshee and am gonna turn it into a drag quad. I really wanna pickup a full package so I dont have to buy 10 different parts from 10 different dealers. im just curious about this package. http://www.rdzracing.com/RDZ_Racing_Parts_.htm Stock & 4mm Full Kit include: Super Cub Cylinders New Crank, Pistons, Head & Gaskets $2295.00 Top case machining required for Stock & 4mm $100.00 So basicly thats a complete bolt on top end that claims 105hp (with proper carbs and pipes ofc ?) If there any other makers of complete kits out there such at this 1? Or possible some other kits out there that are a bit cheaper that perform close or maybe a little less. please let me know! ready to order asap!

    Hey new.

    That would probably be the smart thing to do.. but I got the banshee that I dont like LOL, (I liked my 450 alot better.. its better in every aspect except drag IMO) So my options, make this bike a drag bike or sell And I also wanna say I built my bike and didnt buy it!

    Hey guys whats up. I sold my 06 yfz450 and ended up getting a banshee.. and wow is this thing slow lol. (2nd banshee my first was a 99 with a cool head and basic other mods, reeds/ pipes.) Anyways I got a near stock 2006 banshee, has fmf pipes. my goals.. 1/8 mile drag quad. Right now I have 2500$ cash I wanna drop into the banshee to make it track ready.. im just not sure where to start lol. Goals are 6's in the 1/8th I dono if I want to start with suspension, or just go ahead and start with motor work and go with suspension later. I dont wanna buy mods and not be happy and HAVE to upgrade in 2 months, Im also doing all the work myself. Also not wanting to spend more then 5000$ total in mods. (within the first year of course LOL) Opinions!?
  12. yeh I know stuff is going to break, what I was meaning is I dont wanna replace clutches after every single run on the track lol. if my goals of 5's is gonna come at a cost of a new clutch/basket whenever I put 2-3 pass's on it I dont know if I wanna get into the sport of racing a banshee to be slower then my street bike and break 10 times more after looking at some quads some are just selling way to cheap! I might just look into that instead of building my own. :-D
  13. This is intended for pavement use only. Hey, Ive had a 99 banshee and quite a few atv's and just traded my 06 yfz450 a few months ago for a 00 zx12. well the 12 runs 5.50's in the 8th. Im wanting to run 5.90's at the least on a banshee. (local guy has a warrior frame with a r6 engine running low 6's I hear. and I just want to outrun this guy ) Anyways ill be selling my 12 for around 5k, that is just my first lump sum, I work full time and I love my toys so thats not all I have to spend. Im just curious I need some opinions. for the guys that have fast street shees, Should I buy a close to stock 1 and start modding it myself or should I just drop a good lump of cash on a already modded 1 (not all the way modded cause I wanna do some of the work myself) what would be more practical and cheaper? Also for the guys running low 6's and 5's in the 1/8th with a good setup how often do you have to replace clutches and do top end rebuilds. Shoot me some info and opinions guys! Thanks alot.
