  1. The old CDI didnt go, I bought a parts lot with a brand new one still in the box so I put it in. I have about 4 CDIs so Ill switch it out again. I checked everything with a multimeter using the clymer and tech article as a guide.
  2. Didnt replace it, but I did test it it is good. I have no clue what to do with this anymore I replaced/fixed/tested everything I could think of plus what was on that site and nothing is wrong that I could see. Im ready to just make my own wiring harness and see what happens.
  3. As Im sure you guys know from my last topic, my shee died randomly while riding, turned out to be the stator. I replaced the stator with a new one, new coil, new cdi, and checked all the wires and I still dont have a spark? I have no idea what else to check its all new, and what wasnt new was tested. Anyone have any suggestions, the switches are all working, pick up coil was set, new fly wheel I have no idea what else it could be. Also tors was removed so it isnt that.
  4. i think ill solder it then check it with a ohm meter unless I can find a good deal on one.
  5. Anyone out there know if I can fix a stator? The p.o who rebuilt my engine right before I bought it didnt torque the bolts that hold the stator in, one came out and chewed up some of the windings on one of the posts. Can i just put a little solder on there to complete the circuit or does anyone have one for sale I could pick up. It sucks I just bought this and I put about 20 mins of yard riding on it and had to replace a lot of parts.
  6. Hey guys Im new here. Just picked up a '90 shee with fmf fatties and power core 2's. I just ordered some clamp on pod filters, and the bike has a rebuilt engine. It has the stock carbs, and other than the exhaust and pods seems to be stock. Im in New Hampshire so roughly sea level what would be a good place to start as far as clip position, mains and pilot jets. How many turns out with the air screw with my setup? I know I'm going to have to do some plug chops to get it dead on but I just dont know how these like to run and need a good base to get started. Thank you in advance.
