  2. i have keihin pwk 28mm's on my quad now would it be worth goin to the trinity set up. will boysen rad valves work with that set up.the engine will be +4 advance its bored .060 it will have 19cc domes with cool head. it has fmf pipes and silencers dont know what models though. un ported. any advise would be awsome. if the 28s are better what needles are best to run. it has lgn in it now and mid range sux. idles good and wot good mid range is terrible

  6. i just tore the head off this banshee it has a 21cc cool head pro design, the pistons are .060 over the cylinders look real good i got 135 psi cold kicking with throttle wide open on both cylinders.the guy i got it from said it was just reringed should i rering it or is that good. he also said it was .010 over and its not. thanks guys for your help im 2 stoke stupid
  7. hi i bought a quad the other day and ive been having trouble with no mid power. i pulled the stator cover off and it says -5 shouldnt it be advanced for more bottom end power.
  8. hey guys i just pulled my stator cover off to see if it had an adjustable timing plate and it does but its set on -5 shouldnt it be advanced not retarted. is that why i have no power till top end.
  9. the needle was at its lowest setting. do i need a different needle and does the boysen rad valve use a special intake or do i need a special one for those carbs and where can i buy them at
  10. some things i forgot the needle clips were in top notch i moved them to the middle didnt change anything. the plugs are blackish and a little wet. left bank smokes a little right side dont
  11. first of all i live in indiana this is my first banshee im a auto mechanic not used to 2 strokes its a new world to me.i have a 1997 it has what i belive to be 28mm keihin pwk flat side carbs, 45 pilots 155 mains and lgn needle. it has a pro desighn cool head dont know what dome. it has 135psi comp both cyl cold throttle wide open couldnt check it warm. it has boysen rad vavles look good i noticed where the boost bottle was the intakes are both ripped. stock cylinders bored .010. fmf pipes and silencers.im runnin castor 927 40 to 1.the problem i have is it will start right up and idle fine. but off idle it just kinda bogs around with no power till you get it wound up and it will rip pretty good. if you wot it in first it takes a few seconds for it to rev high enough to the power band to make any power.my 250r i traded for it would kill it. basically it idles good and runs wot good and thats it.it has no mid range driveability. idle screws were turned out about 3 whole turns air screws were aroun 1 in a quarter. is this prob from a vacume leak from the boost bottle. or carb jetting the slides look sync as far as slide movement goes. the guy i got it from knew nothing about it as far as what parts are on it.so i think its not set up right. any help would be greatly appriciated.
