  1. could I have a picture of what the slide is supposed to look like in the carb?
  2. idk, i got it on ebay right now for 130 buy it no OBO. heres some things im interested in Carb Sync. Tool TORS Nerf Bars Nice Kickstart Hydraulic Clutch Aluminum Gas Cap A- Arms Nice Sidecase Insert Nice Water Pump Cover Magnetic Drain Plug Bolt Kit Anything along the lines. Carb Sync tool and tors and nerf bars are mainly what I want.
  3. Trade for something nice? lol
  4. I have the same issue, mine has no key the kill switch is on the handlebar, but its in with some wires, and I don't know how they have it wired. Any ideas? Not hijacking your thread, but I have the same problem, just thought I would throw it out there.
  5. Whoops, I forgot to add the pic, and its too late to edit it. Well, Heres the pic http://img504.imageshack.us/my.php?image=1012081146ea7.jpg I bought the Pro Designs impeller, along with the 2 gaskets, and a set of outerwears clamp on K&n Air filter, and the carb. Sync tool as well. Hopefully that will fix everything. What does the impeller look like to you guys? I don't know how it is supposed to look so does it look bad??
  6. Thanks man, I am definatly buying that. Just asked him if he would take 29.00 for it shipped. I got my impeller out, and I snapped a picture of it. I don't know how they are supposed to look. But either way I believe that I am going to buy the Pro Designs one, to replace the plastic one, and apparantly they cool better.
  7. Alright, well I looked at my carbs, and It looks like they are out of sync. I adjusted one of my idle screws because one was comming up before the other one. I got them close to even by sight, and It doesn't seem to pop. But, how do you sync them manually? I don't have the tors. I'm working on checking out the impeller, i took the water cover off, and it looks like not all of the fins are the same.
  8. on my lunch break 93 fuel 32:1 same as always I kind of wonder if the popping could be bad gas? well its down just a little ways, and when its running its like bubbling from vibration, and it will get a little higher and it will go through the the little hose...ill take a video of it later.
  9. Ok I got to go to work, I get off at 930 tonight. But I checked the water, and after a couple of minutes it starts comming out. Ill check out the other thing when I get off, thanks for the help so far!
  10. I started it today with the cap off, I didn't have alot of time, but it didn't start overflowing. I let it idle for like a minute, and still wasn't overflowing. I would say that if I would have let it run for a bit longer it would have over flowed. I will check it again tomorrow when I have a bit more time. As far as the popping, what do you mean by the slide cutaways?
  11. to number 17 and 18 yes. As far as over heating, well I can't tell because i havent got to ride it long enough. We checked the gaskets and they are fine. Im going to check the carbs if they look like they go the same amount. Yes I took my carbs off inspected them and cleaned them out.
  12. bump guys, i really need help, its just sitting in my garage. Could it possibly be the radiator cap that is causing that?
  13. reason saying, i might take it into the shop for the popping, and let them fix it.
  14. right now, id say that I need to get my coolant part fixed. I was looking in my clymer manual, do you guys think that it would be the water pump?
  15. ive got a clymer manual, but I am thinking about just taking it to the shop. Because im getting pissed its just sitting in the garage, unridable, it makes me sick because I can't ride the beast. I can assure you that the gaskets was put in fine. I was told to try a new radiator cap to see if that takes care of my water problem, but still the fucking popping, i tried new plugs, and cleaned my carbs out, but still no good. The tubing that goes between the carbs, well I am going to try a new hose, but I don't think that is the problem on the popping. Anything else?
  16. we put new gaskets on it, new piston's new rings, honed the cylinder, measure the cylinder to make sure it didn't have to be bored and sleeved. Everything was fresh. Went and bought 6 new plugs. Went through them getting the jetting right. Just cleaned them up after words. I took the carbs off the other day and cleaned them, i put them back on and tried starting it today, and the mother fucker was like stuck wide open, i hurried and shut it off. Im guessing either the needle came out of the main jet when i was screwing piece that holds the neeedle in, or possible just the cleaner that was being used caused it to idle high? I haven't got to ride it since I got the carbs cleaned out so that may have fixed the popping, that and getting new plugs. Thanks for all the help guys, I still need help with the antifreeze problem, and possibly with the popping, i will update that tomorrow probably.
  17. yes i did, look at post number 3 The only mods I have is dyno port racing headers with dg silencers. Carbs been jetted to 290 mains. Twin Air Air Filter. Fresh Top End Rebuild and thats about it other than visual stuff
  18. ok well i yanked my carbs off took the main jet out and i took the the the pilot jet and cleaned them and now the stupid thing wont turn over. You will kick it and kick it and kick it and it wont start. You don't smell any flooding or anything, so I don't know whats wrong now.
  19. I had someone do it for me that runs 2 strokes all the time and works on them all of the time as far as the motor part. One of the hoses couldnt be wrong could they, as far as the coolant goes? thing is it ran fine for a couple of days, and then like all of a suddon. I mean I ran like 3-4 tanks of gas through it before this stuff started happening. I'm going to go downstairs and yank my carbs off and clean them. I will keep checking back to see what you guys say about the coolant problem.
  20. ok well I don't know what to do with the coolant. I thought that the spark plug looked good, maybe it is a little too rich. I will give you guys a pic of my plug here in just a little bit. I don't know why it would be engine trouble, being that it just had the top end redone on it. I had engine ice in it, and it didn't seem like it was taking it from my resivore thing in the back where you put coolant in at. Because we opened the radiator cap and it was like half empty, but the resivore was like half full.
  21. Alright I will tomorrow morning. Im thinking about yanking the carbs off and going ahead and cleaning them. What do you think? Because I am wanting to try and go riding tomorrow morning with my parents to a place i have never been too. But I cant go unless I get this thing going. Plugs might help, but do you think i should yank the carbs off and clean them out, just as a precation. That way if it aint the plugs, then it would have to be an issue with the carb wouldn't it? Also, how can I go about checking my coolant, because I wont be able to go ride with it leaking coolant constantly
  22. well the plugs should be fine, i have swapped out a cpl different ones that I have cleaned up. Im going over tomorrow to get more plugs. The only mods I have is dyno port racing headers with dg silencers. Carbs been jetted to 290 mains. Twin Air Air Filter. Fresh Top End Rebuild and thats about it other than visual stuff. also what about me loosing coolant?
  23. Ok, it got a top end rebuild on it, and we got it jetted right, im running 290 mains. It ran fine for like a couple of hours, and now it wants to pop again. Do the carbs need to be cleaned? Also, I am now leaking out coolant through my overflow hose that goes like where the drain lines go for you gas out of your carb. Like by the front sprocket. I can ride around and it steadily drips out. What can that be? Should I yank my carbs off and give them a cleaning?
