  1. I was looking for a K&N for a blaster and came across as seller on ebay selling Vito's filters for much cheaper than k&N's. It's a paper guaze material, just like k&n, but I cant find any opinions on them. Anyone ever run one in their Banshee? Good or bad experiences? thx!
  2. Thanks to all for the replies! The PO never did it. Any input on the best place to get them? Edit; never mind that last part. I missed the part where you mentioned Toomey should sell them. I'll check them out. Thanks!
  3. I just picked this bike up and everything is great except the idle is set too low. It has an aftermarket twitch throttle and carb caps (no TORS). Where the hell is the idle adjustment? I did search, but came up blank. thx
  4. An off-idle miss is usually, but not always, a symptom of a lean pilot circuit, which is why turning in the air screw (richening the circuit) helped. Go up one size on the pilots and test. I'm not sure what the 'rule of thumb' is with the Banshee, but with a 250 smoker more than 2.5 turns from closed means its time to go up a pilot size.
  5. Shell Rotella 15W-40. Made from quality base stock and the add-pack that is very close to motorcycle specific branded oils. And it costs $9/gal at Wal Mart. I've ran it in my YZ426F, YZ250, Raptor 250 and the 03 Banshee I just picked up. Never had one oil related issue, ever. Do some research..... http://directory.fleetmag.com/cgi-bin/buye...ge1&ID=3793
  6. It blew a 125 and 120 respectively. I was able to repeat those numbers twice. Is a 5# fluctuation something to be concerned about? I took it out yesterday and it runs and sounds great. I hadn't ridden a Banshee since the mid 90's and I forgot how much fun they are. Good times....
  7. I just picked up a 03' with an estimated 20 hours. I believe the guy as the frame and everything looks great, but I'd like to get a compression reading for the helluvit. My 06 YZ250 pulled a 215lb reading after a fresh top end, which is great compression for a 250 and shows my gauge is in the ballpark. With that in mind what should I expect from each cylinder? Stock motor, stock carbs, FMF fatty's and K&N's (no airbox) are the only mods. I'm at 300ft ASL. Lastly, should the reading be taken on a motor at operating temp or stone cold? My YZ blew a 215 at operating temp and lower when cold.
