Probably too long but I like this line when it comes to banshees
Not in control till your outta control
-
I still need to get a picture of my banner now that I think about it, that first pic made me remember. I got a bansheehq.com sticker on my 89 caddy though. . Watching your hillclimb vids is pretty entertaining
-
I loled srsly
I think its his picture that makes it that much funnier

If money, tools and time are of not real concern, Build a custom frame to fit Banshee A arms and swinger. You'll be time ahead, trust me.
I was part of a gixxer 750 into a craptor 660 frame build. It took several weeks, and a guy who builds 5 link long travel sand cars out of his head to get it done. We would have been better off to jig the craptor frame and build from scratch.
By the way, it won't take a 4 mill cub up Sand Mountain UT.
What do you mean by the last part? A Gsxr couldn't beat a 4mill up a hill at Sand Mountain?

Loco didn't ask if you resources were unlimited he asked what they were. If resources were unlimited and money wasn't an issue I would be building a hovercraft or a giant catapult.

My family friend put some of those nerfs on my z400 and I put some on my banshee. On my z400 he had to use a breaker bar or digging bar to bend them into the right spot. With my banshee I just had my dad help me pull the longer side until it fit. Sucks your having that trouble but these pegs seem to be the hardest to install and there the most expensive

Since its probably an asphalt race and all top end like you said make sure your main is SPOT ON. I raced my friends raptor 700 and had him off the line by a long shot. Then once i got to 5-6th gear I realized I was a tad lean on the main...and he started to catch up. Money doesn't always increase speed and acceleration....sometimes all it takes is the perfect jetting.

you better mention HQ in the article or youre getting the ban..
jk
Haha i'm gonna try my best for sure. I don't think it will be a problem though. The Washington post is a big paper here so it should turn out pretty cool. Give me some ideas of how I can sneak it in there because I think there planning on calling me sometime this week. If theres a picture included I can definitely sneak some stickers in.
-
Your family looking to adopt? I wouldn't mind vacationing at your pad a few days a year!
Haha thanks man...I just found out today that the washington post in my area wants to do an article on me for some reason. I dont know exactly what they would ask but i guess thats another thing i shouldn't pass up lol. I'll have to fill you guys in on that when it happens. Maybe I can do a shoutout in the article
-
sweet crib man. sucks you couldnt show the bansheehq.com banner. that wouldve been sick.
Yea I should of never asked them in the first place and just slipped it in somewhere haha.
And Alf you can't even hate on kiss. I'll admit I don't listen to them much anymore but you must've been a fan at one point in your life. .
Thanks for all the comments guys...I was a little worried with the way they'd make me look but the worst part ended up being when I had to make milkshakes lol. Also notice how many times my dad says my name in the last part

This is very long overdue...some people were interested in seeing the episode so i figured i'd post it. Let me know what you think
I tried to upload the video so you don't have to click the link but it didn't work. Here's the link
-
If your saying that when you go to kick it over it won't budge then it's definitely seized. A friend of mind had that happen to his kx125 unfortunately.
-
what about the fact you made another account in retaliation?
-
I would believe your first statement before I would believe your second one.
Yea lol that was a joke if some of you thought it sounded believable. 2-1 is easier to tune and in my opinion hits on the bottom a tad harder. If I had a choice I would go back to duals though...just no cash flow at the moment.

Hell of a deal for 1400.
Arms - 200
Axle - 100
Jugs - 250
Frame - 100
Plastics - 150
Rims/tires - 250
Pipes - 200
Just right there thats 1050 and all those prices are close to minimum of what you'd get. Was that the asking price or did you talk him down a lot? Seems to be a good find you know the bikes gonna be in good shape when the owner buys new tires before they sell it
-
Not much but hey someone might need it. I'll knock off 10 percent of the final price for any bhq member. 20% extra for loco or any of his friends though. Just kidding.
I also have a frame and forks that are still attached to the bike. I had someone try to tell me that the seals are bad on the forks but I think he may have been trying to get me to practically give him the parts. Local pickup only on the frame and forks and i'll give a hell of a deal for them. Located in leesburg va, bout an hour from tysons or 30 minutes from winchester if that helps.

Stock shocks work better on +3+1 arms than elka dune editions do. They have to have at least 6 years of wear on them though
Oh woops were talking about carbs. Well 2 into 1's work way better than any duals...20% hp gain bottom end and they pull on the top more than a drag ported cpi pipe having 35mm running bike even though mines trail ported.
-
so let me get this straight.. at least you spent all the time and money to coat the pistons.. instead of getting a decent machinest that can bore cylinders correctelly... and not have them sieze? seems like a good trade off..
I don't think the coating makes it easier to run with a shitty bore/hone job. What the other guy was saying was it just so happened to stick on him once, but other than that its fine. He claimed that they make the pistons hold up longer. I don't know of many machinists, if any that aren't capable of doing a decent bore/hone job though.
Just FYI sieze is spelled seize, machinest is spelled machinist, and correctelly is spelled correctly. Spell checks the shit. Just fuckin with ya

Did your friend take the 28's as well? Theres been a lot of scamming going on lately so your gonna have to give a lot more information and recent pictures before anyone commits to buying anything from someone with 2 posts. You seem to have a nice bike that a lot of people would be interested in though. Good luck.
-
It would be a lot easier if you posted pictures and prices here so you don't have to answer 100 messages of people asking prices on the same part.
-
I saw the episode this morning at 2:30 am after work..Clicked it and said atv track..lol...Make me a mutha fuckin milkshake shogs!!
I mean milkshakes are the breakfast of champions...or maybe it was wheaties...

Yea i got the pt's and elkas . I had made a thread on here when I first found out they were going to come to my house. I have no idea how to upload it but I talked to my brother in law today and he's going to try to help me get it on youtube so I can post it.

So im a little lost here and hopefully ALF can help me out. I read the post completely and decided to go to the For Sale section. Upon scrolling down I found where i think the deal took place. I also found this..

Bump for a good kid. Lots of new parts on this machine. I know cause I got them for him. Some great deals here. "
This is from ALF who started this thread. What i don't understand is how your bad mouthing him now but the other day you were seemingly praising him? Its like you called him a good kid and how theirs great deals, but now you realize you got fucked. I'm not trying to start anything, but normally wouldn't you wait to praise someone until they've given you something worth a thumbs up? This is how bad sellers continue screwing people. Someone might sell them something and the transaction might go smoothly and the person may highly recommend them because of ONE earlier transaction but once that person who was highly recommended tries selling something that's complete junk and he has good credibility for one transaction earlier hes going to end up scamming someone else. Ive dealt with many people before where they are great people to sell something too when all you need is their money, but the second you buy something from them and they have to package it and ship it that persons turns into a complete D bag.
He said he got some parts FOR him, not FROM him. Maybe sheerider20 bought some parts from alf, then later sold them back to alf? Alf may just have been referring to how there previous transaction went, not the current one? Just a thought. I'm sure in time everyone will know what happened but I agree alf shouldn't have to deal with this bullshit.

"drifting" on my z400 in 4th gear around a turn in an open field, flip and roll completely over myself (on my head). Luckily I had a helmet on but that is what broke my collar bone, and almost punctured my lung. All in all not bad for the worst wipeout though. I faceplanted on my brothers bruin 350 and did a front flip off my z400 after hitting a tree. My banshee is loyal, either I spin out dodge the trees lol. Not the same luck on anything else.
hole in juggs ?

As good as these guys advice is remember that every setup is different and different problems happen to every bike. Consider what it would cost to buy new jugs now, and how much it would cost to buy new jugs on top of any other damages you may do IF it does come loose or melts. Not saying you shouldn't do it it could be an easy fix, but keep that in mind.
