I've always ran fmf sst's on my bike, I liked the the bottom of them, and still held their own on the top. When i went out and bought a new 358 cub my stubernd dumb ass kept those fmf's on the cub. I got alot of crap for that, speacialy when my spare bike had a brand new set of cpi's. I ran them that way last summer. The cub motor with the fmfs was running right with fully drag ported stock stroke motors. my cub is not ported by the way. Any way i finally made the swap, and holy crap!!! Those pipes plus the cub seem to just love each other, I kid you not the mids on the cpi feel like the top of the fmf's. Went to sand mountian today and it was unreal. Being a weekday there was not much compatition but you can just feel the POWER diferance. What suprised me the most it was still duneable. Cant wait to go agian, when theres more people out there. 358 cub, cpi, 35.5 flat slide mukuni's,+5 timimg v3's,17cc domes,running 15/42 with 21-12-8 extrems. next step port the cub + swing arm. Ok, everyone can laugh at me and say I told you so. My spare also ran great but not like it used to. its ported +5 timming 18cc domes stock everthing else fun bike aswell.

Heres the deal. bike starts fine sounds perfect no smoke, but once its warm the left side like just shuts off, you can acually here it. I wait for it to cool then try agian same thing good until it warms up, got be electrical. Coil. cdi.stator????? Yes, coverd the basics passed leakdown,went through carbs, compression. Whats next?? Gotta be electrical??

If thats the case go to litttle sahara, once you pass the pay shack follow road to the first right that will take you to white sands. There be picnic areas under trees. Park any where. theres a trail that goes to sand mountian, thats a sweet little trail all sand just along the dunes. Its about 10 Mile ride to sand moutian. Once you get there you have the option to ride some bigger dunes if you like. Personlly i like St. Anthonys but when i have a newbee thats where i like to take them. Have fun.

Im running 15 42 on my cub motor cpi set up on 21 inch tires, perfect on the dunes. My 2nd bike ported with FMF sst's is running 15 42 as well but on 20 inch paddles, pulls great.

I ride there all the time. on my stock banshee im running 190 mains,runs great there you'll love it. You will be back.

h I run SST'S on my bike I love them. As far as which is better,hard to say Ive smoked t-5 and gotten smoked by t-5's. they sure are quiter then toomeys thats for sure.

ya thats what i told him. to start im gonna jet it down to a 280, and see what that does for now.

ya just called him he runs it 32/1. he belray 2 stoke oil.

thats it just pipes. and cool head 19cc. I can believe it actully ran with them jets.

buddy took his pipe of to clean, when he pulled it off he said oil actullly poured out yup, he said poured out of the pipe. both sides did. At first i thought way rich, he is running 320 on just piped bike@ 4700FT, but im starting to wonder why his trans oil is way low. Bad seals maybe??????? the bike runs fine though.

I have those same carbs, I like them. 02, 358 cub, same 34mm but they are bored out to 35.5mm,v3, cool head 18cc lightend fly +5 timming, FMF sst, K&T intake. 300 mains at 4700fT.

ya anybody knows that those cpi"S will perform better on the hill, but thats not my ridding style.

ya i think think its gonna run pretty good. i have coolhead 18cc domes, 35.5 mukunis, lightend fly, fmf sst they have great bottom i love those pipes, v3, +5 timming, k&n pods, pro design water impeller. my other bike has been ported with cpi's like that one on the hill for now, but then i'll drop a 4mill in that one in the future.

well heres the deal was gonna do a 4mill, somehow i ended up with a brand new cub stock stroke. the crank thats in there is a hot rods i installed not to long ago, thats kinnda why i ended up with this cub. not complianing thougth. i just couldnt justify redoing the bottom agian, its pretty solid. maybe this will give me the best of both worlds.

first i like to play on the dunes run through bowls as fast as i want not as fast as i can. second i like to be the first on on top of the hill.

what will run better???cub with a basic clean up port stock stroke vs 4mill with stock ported cylinders?? :
