  1. Can somebody explain how different length stingers work on GP style pipes (both pipes exit on the same side on a road bike). I want to build a set for an aircooled 73 Rd350 I am working on.

The inner pipe will have a much longer stinger than the outer pipe to get the silencers together if that make sense. Does the shorter stinger length need a piece of internal stinger inside the last cone to keep both stingers the same.

  2. There are quiet a few places in Washington just over the border from Vancouver that will collect packages for you for $2.50 each. I just use the free shipping in the US option and drive over the border and pick up my stuff. Only been asked to pay taxes once so far. way cheaper than paying for shipping to Canada.

  3. break out the card and run it wot tell you do it again i do it tell my engine is in the trash every time its inley4 grand for a engine hun nana :jesterlaugh:

WTF. Are you retarded or something?

If it ran good before the timing plate, then check the stator and pickup gaps. Big changes to jetting with no changes to how it rums usually means electrical issues

  4. i can rebuild my engine a million tomes and i fill it with coolant and it still leaks my builder said it was wobbley buy hand it sounds like iom up the creak abd have to go to stock but they dont do that work and im acrewd ,it looks like i dont he=ave any options unless i buy 10 new machines for my next 10 joyrides im stumped

  5. Hey AKheathen, I believe the heat cycles were complete. As both times i checked the torque settings i couldnt tighten the head nuts anymore and when removing the head after 4 or 5 rides ( usually a week min between rides) the head nuts were still tight.

Check the head for cracks. I had a leak, and it took a while to find the almost invisible crack that was causing it.

What caused the gasket to blow the first time?

  6. Ok guys, this is prolly a simple question and may have been asked before. Since my cylinders are ported and polished, does one need to cut the piston windows to match the cylinder porting? Reason I am asking this is... I'm assuming when a piston is made it is also balanced. The guy I had doing my building tells me the pistons need to be cut. Would this not wack the piston out of balance causing abnormal wear and tear on the piston and cylinders?

Getting a bit off topic here.

If you cut your pistons, don't expect them to last too long. If it is not a drag only bike, I would not advise it.

And for the other guy who keeps destroying pistons, you need to read the Banshee jetting FAQ and fugure out what lean means.

  7. are the o-rings your putting on the DOMES BLACK in color OR brown? they ABSOULTELY MUST BE viton's. they are brown in color. PLUS it sounds to me like your either to LEAN on top end OR using too low octaine fuel, with too much compression if you have poped the head a few times its most likely warped and the domes are damaged also..

Did you even bother to read anything in the original post before offering up your pearls of wisdom?

  8. i have a 2008 banshee

    fmf fattys

    280 main jets

stock airbox and uni filter with custom lid

    boost bottle

    running engine ice coolant

i have 2 problems with it, it overheats very quickly doesnt have blown head gasket or any leaks anywhere ??

and other thing top end speed i can only get a max of 109km out of it??

any advice would be great thanks
