i mix the oil heavy ride it easy and jive it the occasional stab and hold then coast, ride some more then stab and hold etc.
(by stab and hold i meam going about cruise speed then hold wot just untill you just about top out then let off and coast at idle)
this drives the rings into the cyl hard and then the coasting givs it a desent cool doun especialy with air cooled bikes
how i do my dirt bikes atvs sleds etc.
i have a different metod i use for my street bikes.

itl take a long time youve got a lot of hose to fill with fluid and the master cylender dosent pump air very well
takes me forever to do my bikes with integrated rear brakes once u start to get fluid to bubble up it goes fast

I am putting my banshee back together and I was wondeing if it was ok if i used silicone on the cylinder and headgasket on it. I got the gray silicone thats made for cycles at the moto shop?
gasket sticky is ok but not silicone silicone will let the gasket float around and it will push out when u tork the studs and blow out when u run it for a while
as a general rule use the gasket or the silicone not both for cyl.heads always use the gaskets
just make sure to tork the bolts to speck in the manual specified pattern and youl be fine

how important is it to get em without chain damage or repair from it
should i be good as long as the tranny dosent leak or do i need to go spend the money on some perfect ones
i like the idea of the rz tranny how much do i need just the forks and drum or the gears to, where do i find these parts (none on ebay presently) can u buy all that shit from the dealer still

all these mods making my head spin im getting confused. id like to see a race stock for stock but where the hell are you gonna find a stock banch and a stock zilla in close enough proximity to race.
im my oppinion stock for stock is the only fair way to look at it untill i see it i pass no jugement

im thinking about going to e85 on the r i think all i need to do is rejet. i believe i would need to go bigger on the mains but i dont want to burn it up so the liklyhood of me actually doing it is pretty small

are those trannies available on ebay where do you get the parts for the swap?

im confused how do you put one trannie from one into another does that take alot of machining er are they the same whit diff. ratios so it would be a drop in deal?

why would it overheat with fouled plugs most things ive seen just run like shit with a fouled plug or wont start.

i guess it was pre ignition but i guess it still raises the question why does the bike run hotter with fouled plugs and overheats
from reading that article id say i need the next colder plug ey
btw wats the next coldest to a b8es i think its a b9 or is it a b7 im not sure.

i soak it doun with 30 wt periodicly and wipe off the exess stay pretty good unless i ride doun a dryed out dirt road then i gota lube it alot
