i belive the slides have a recessed grove the on the side of the slides them need to go to out side of the carbs.

like the title says i was pounding on the shee preety hard racing a polaris predator and killing it every time. when we were done i had her wide open for about a 2 miles and shut her off at home and the right exhaust was smoking out of the silencer for about a minute or two. 1997 yamaha banshee uni pod filters 280 mains all other jets stock tors removed pro curcuit pipes 304 silencers boost bottle any idea why and if it was just too hot why not the other side

well i just flushed it all out and replaced with green preston 50/50 i would have put engine ice in but no one sels it around here that i know of thanks

im not mixing it with any other antifreeze the quad has been flushed i need to know weather or not to mix it with water no where on my bottle does it say anything about running it strait but it does say about mixing it with water no less than 50% andd not more than 70% but some of these guys on here are saying to run it strait. So i draind the dex-cool mixed with well water and replaced it with dex-cool and distilled water 50/50 so thats where its going to stay untill we get to the bottom of this. I dont really want to go buy green preston right now because i already have the dex-cool in it and i dont want it to mix incase i dont get it all out thanks.

would not hurt to pull the carbs off and clean them air filter to

well i am going to go get a gallon of distiled water but im still not shure with all these comments if i should mix it 50/50 or run strait dex-cool approved prestone ???

its undiluted i was going to buy the 50/50 but it was like a dollar more for the concentrate right now i have it 50/50 mixed with well water?

on the back of my bottle is has mixtures for 50/50 or 70/30 now this is for cars and trucks but im just making shure because there are threads here on bhq that say never run strait anti freeze thanks for you input

well i should drain the coolant and just pour that antifreeze in strait unmixed?

i have no idea? could be soft could ce hard? LoL

the antifreeze i used is GM DEX-COOL approved Prestone the red stuff becaues the flued that was in the bike was red to start with. I have a well for water and mixed it 50/50 after i did it i thought maybe i should have used distilled water do you think this will be ok or should i get it out of there and eather buy a 50/50 premix or buy some distilled water thanks axl.

well i dont know just seemed to easy to be tru dude swears that he did not buy after market jug Just pulled on off a old yamaha sled. Anyway the guy i know that helped him build it said after it was done they took it out and hit the nos with it and sold it instantly said it was way too fast :smile: :yelrotflmao:

hey i dont know all the facts here because i am having truble finding the guy who did this but i spoke to one of his old freinds that helped him build this banshee. What he told me is he had this banshee with a stock bottom end and there is some snowmobile engine jug that bolts right on i believe he said he thought it was a 558 or 588???? but apearently this quad moved pretty good with that jug. does anyone have any idea what sled this came from i think it was an older sled thanks.

if i knew what this je 11:1 piston = in pounds then i could check the predator and see how far its off?

hey i just bought a compression tester and want to see how accurate it is. One way i can tell is i have a polaris predator 500 that i just put a 11:1 je piston in any idea of how much 11:1 = in pounds. I checked my banshee and is says 110 pounds i am wondering if its off or if i am really that low thanks axl

does anyone have the clamps for my pipes the ones that connect the pipe to the silencer i have pro curcuit pipes with 304 silencers thanks

alright alright sorry i really dont know much about carbs i mostly ride mx dirtbikes just recently picked up a banshee but the five gallon pale of beer does sound good

hey there is a guy in my town here getting rid of a set of 38mm flat slide carbs from his banshee that he has already sold. I am wondering if they willo work for me or do you need some serious mods to run somthing that big I have a 1997 banshee procurcuit pipes 304 silencers uni pod filters reed spacers boyesen reeds boost bottle , stock motor. He said that he had a big bore kit 5?? somthing kit and ported polised and said they were to much for the banshee thanks axl

hey in the trouble shooting your jetting thread it says if your air fuel screw is in the front or if its in the back?? i am assuming being by the filter side not the reed side would be the front ????thanks

hey i have been jetting my banshee and i noticed on my yamaha yz250 dirtbike the plug after running it the electroid on the plug is dry but on my banshee it is wet what does this mean thanks AXL

hey i am going to dump my coolant today i was wondering what to do with the new stuff to get the air out... and i have heard of people boiling over there radiator what does that mean and do i need to do it. Thanks axl

if they are stock reeds what about those metal stops that are sopost to be on there do they need to be there ??? and what kind of reed pedals can i put on for a replacement can i just buy a set of like boyesen reeds to put on the stock cages thanks axl
