Hey guys help me out, tuned in my banshee tonight, got it running like a champ. I went to go shut if off for the night and it wouldnt shut off, I stalled it, then kicked it over in the "off" position and it started, so i traced my wires back and all seems ok, Headlight part of the swtich works and turns the lights on and off.... The kill switch is clean and makes contact when its "on" and dosent make contact when its off. ( switch seems to be working OK) Anyone else had this problem or anyone have any suggestions on what to try? My clymer manual dosent really have much on this specific subject. Thanks

Running on 1 cylinder

Well, i took it into Yamaha, they said they sucked all the oil from down in the crank, brought it home and it started to fire just on the left hand side again with the right side firing on occasion... im thinking it may be my carbs? Yamaha also tor them down and jetted it with new pilots. If i dial the idle jets all the way in it still runs... shouldnt it die? it just pukes fuel out the right side exhaust (the non running cylinder) any help or suggestions to check is appreciated as i am going insane trying to get this thing to run Compression is also up at 124-125 ish on both sides -atvfreestylekid, what are you meaning by the feul levels? -
There is something wrong with my stock carbs... looking for another set, what you you people have? How much? ( on a student budget so nothing to expesnive:P)

I have spark on both cylinders, choke tube is good... The right side cylinder still isnt firing though, if i swap the wires the right cylinder still isnt firing... yamaha tryed putting a new coil, cdi box rebuilt the carbs and did a compression test and after 4 hours of labour i told them to stop and i would try fixing it myself... anyone got any other suggestions? could it be the stator??? -

Pulled the carbs off, Reeds look fine, float levels are good also So heres the thing, when its running the right side isnt firing. it pukes out oily gas out of the pipes, but yet the spark plug is hot and clean.... what gives? Left side of the pipe is smokin hot and the right side is cold. -

I did a compression test, 125 and 123, still wont fire, i pushed it around the street in gear with the plugs out to clear out anything, still wont run, or even start. I have spark. Reeds are in the carbs correct? sorry i am still new at banshees and atv world and still learning -

The dealer also did a overhaul on the carbs, i went to go work on it today and start it up and it wouldnt even start, to me it seems like its flooded from sitting. The fuel is off but do you guys run your banshees out of gas before storing it for a few weeks??? It ran on 1 cylinder out of the trailer and into the garage, now it wont even start? Just wondering if it could be flooded? -

It would only run, i'm thinking maybe a few wires are loose on the stator? -
Hey guys, ran the shee out on the dunes last week, and it would only fire on 2 cylinders 50% of the time, I took it in to Yamaha and they spend 4 hours looking at it and couldnt figure it out, the put in a new coil and wires, cdi box and looked at the wiring harness, they said my stator is in rough shape but it either works of it dosent... any ideas to what it could be thanks
