Hey Guys, sold my Banshee a while back, selling all the stuff laying aound the shop..
Stock Air box with K&N filter top has 6 K&N vents in it and the filter is secured with bolts so you can run the top off. Like new, Filter has two rides on it. $40 shipped
Stock thumb throttle assembly $10 shipped
Stock steering stem (strait) $20 shipped
SET of 28mm pwks with boots $220 shipped
I'll post more as I clean up. Got a lot of old sh$t laying around.

Sold the 'Shee and bought a KTM 250 SX, getting back into free riding with my son. The new KTMs are the stuff, completely trick stock. Still rocking the two stroke!!

I have a Blue 2005 Yamaha Banshee still on stock bore, not one motor bolt has been turned. It has FMF Gold Series pipes, K&N pods, (I also have the stock air box with a K&N filter), Tusk nerfs, Alba Elite series front bumper, Steering stabilizer, TerryCable Dual Gasser (thumb and twist...you chose), Renthals, pro grips, parking brake block off, Razr rears about 70%, starts first kick, runs just like new, only faster. Want to sell or trade for a 2005 or newer CR 250R or YZ 250R, might consider a four stroke if it is nice. Really want to stay with the 2-strokes tho. Let me know what you have, I might just trade ya. Or come Pick it up, $2800.00 firm.

what is up with a dealer/ manufactur being out of stock for more than three weeks. any one else had issues with fmf. wouldnt be so pissed but this is starting to get annoing. just looking for feed back see what you all have had. im waiting on my power core 2 titanims what in the world could be taking so long are we in a shortage of metal or what.
It's riding season, everyone's backed up. You'll get 'em. FMF is strait up.

No, I have a set of FMF fatties that are in great shape, no dents or dings with stingers and power core 2s for 220.00 shipped. Have about three rides on them. Slightly blued. Pipes are nickel plated. My cousins has some PT mids for $300.00 shipped. He lives down the street, I'll try to get to come down, he doesn't even use them.

I have the terry cable also. I had a twist for the past 8 years and hadn't even ever used a thumb. I liked the twist a lot and once you get used to knowing that you need to be careful you tend to be alright. Never had any bad scares.
Now I have both and I do like the thumb more for rippin around and up hills etc. but I LOVE the twist for longer rides or on trails.
Yea, the twist is definatly worth it once you learn it.

Well, I guess I am the only one, but I bought the Terrycable dual gasser so I could twist when cruising and thumb when shredding. After the first ride I noticed I never went to the thumb trottle. I stayed on the twist. After about 6 or 7 rides, I never used the thumb. I ride tight trails, GNCC type stuff and some dunes and the twist is great, no thumb pump, you can lean way back and nail it and let the front just float over bumps and shit. Great for dragging too. I took the terrycable off as it was a bit bulky and put a Motion Pro CR style twist on and will never go back to the thumb. You get better grip as your whole hand is on the bar and no thumb pump. I feel a lot more stable with the twist. I did put a steering dampner on to prevent any deadly bumpsteer. The only place I have had any scares is hill climbing, it's hard to pull your self up to the front of the quad going up a steep hill and not goose it. But , hey....I don't hillclimb much. I would go with the TerryCable and check it out first and see if you like it. I would never go back to thumbing it.

i put a 4 mil passion 12 port bike together for a kid on here. i was real suprised. it was a stout motor. smoked the tires through all 6 gears. killer bottom end. i was impressed. i have had alot of motors built by other builders. and have owned countless banshees.
Damn, all six, shit I'm calling Jim for sure. I can wait...no problem there, thinking about just carrying the whole bike and having him do the motor. 4mm stroker for the trails.....it never stops does it???

ask what their turn around time is.. i hear herrjuggs does some bad ass portin to, and has great turnaround time...
do a search on them.
but as far as jim at passion.... heard he's really good !!! and a great guy

Hey guys, I know a lot of you have dealt with Jim at Passion, I need my jugs on the stocker ported, my other bikes were done by Duncan (MX and full drag) and are great, but expensive. I just want a MX/recreational port on this bike, my wife and my friends ride it and I wan't to give it a little pep. I have some PT mids coming and a Noss head and timing plate, going to keep the stock carbs on it, the only other thing is K&N pods. His port price is $325 and he said he could make it run just like I want. I'm not real picky, just want to make sure it's reliable. I guess I am looking for some feedback on his work and his turn around. I live about 3 hrs a way so I would just drive my motor up. Kinda thinking about just doing a 4mm stroker while it's there but, that's another story......and what advantage would the 12 port porting be on a stock stroke engine??? Thanks!!!

It mounts about halfway up the stem and the other side mounts behind the pipe on the frame. Just in case you can't sell it.

K i didnt say im gonna be riding around with a god damn 40 pounder in my hand ripping around i just ment if your at the dunes and say your going to see a friend or something that like 5 mins away you can grab a beer or even a coke or something and still be able to ride were as ON A BIKE its hard because you ahve to balance and everything thats all i was trying to say... and even if i ahve a beer it doesnt meen im dissrespecting the "sport" of riding it just mean im not gonna be riding crazy and im just gonna relax and cruise around.
No bro, I was replying to the guy talking shit to daj, not you. :shoothead: My point is , once ya start drinking, don't ride. Just like drinking and driving killed my little brother, drinking and riding....same thing. Just want everyone safe. I am not talking shit, just don't like it when people make bad decisions that could affect the sport and other peoples lives. :verymad:

Im not saying ride around with a bottle of whiskey screaming around camp sites with 2 people on the thing? but cruising a banshee around for a "joy" ride isnt going to hurt anything, and neither is drinking a beer or riding doubles if ur not a complete tool, they are heavy for sure depending on what ur comparing it to though, theres been more areas shut down around here for people dumping trash then anything, i cant think of a single instance where the "banshee was giving a bad name" compared to anything else, i see ALOT of dumbshits on 450's,700's and 4x4's driving down roads,tearing peoples pastures up, giving quads in general a bad wrap, rarely do i see anything else causing problems, i seem to be one of the very few still sporting a shee in this town, driving a 700lb utility quad isnt exactly what i call safe either, and dropping tengrand on a rhino isnt exactly an affordable option to many. i would also like to point out banshee's werent designed for strictly DRAG use either, although alot of u guys seem to stick with that, thats ur own cup of joe. My point is telling somebody they shouldnt get a quad cuz it wasnt designed to just "ride around" is complete hogwash, its only as fast as you ride it. Who says he wasnt getn lit up like a christmas tree on the dirtbike :laugh: dude get whatever u want, dont let a bunch of people who think there shit dont stink decide what "you" want. :thumbsup:
OK, WOW. Point is, drinking and riding= bad idea, having "a couple" and riding....stupid. That was the point. If your going riding , have enough respect for the rest of us who ride responsibly and leave the booze at home. The people who posted the comments on this thread take riding seriously. We don't go have drinks and then ride, we don't cruise around camp with a beer, that is the most ignorant thing ever, like a poster boy for stupidity, look I'm riding with a beer. Fuck, come on. We have to fight to have the right to ride and everyone has to push the limit like we are promised the freedom to ride. Keep fucking up and drinking and riding two up on a performance quad and leaving trash and see where we are in another 20 years.....with no legal place to ride. Safety is paramount for all riders, across the board, my friend broke his back playing on a crf 50, after drinking, of couse.......and yea, banshees are not made for putting around, you'll load it up, cause shit to cake up inside, cause detonation because the fuel is not being burnt (ie:loaded up)......... and overheat it, causing failure. WTF, come on guys, I am all about thrashing and shit , I've been riding since 1977, but the way things are now with federal regulations, we have to tighten up and make better decisions if we want the freedom to keep doing what we love........When I am done riding for the day, I park it, grab a Crown and Coke and fuckin' chill, light a fire, roast marshmallows, but I respect the sport enough to stay off the bike.
