i am wanting to try this conversion for flattracking... could anyone of you guys do me a quick favor? i need eye to eye measurments for the 300ex shock . and i would like to also know the height of the frame in the front with these shocks installed? also i would like to know what kind of travel these shocks have? thanks ahead of time to anyone who gives me info on these shocks!

imo...... tear it back apart and have it ported. thats the way! sorry to say that but, thats how i see it. mine had every thing yours does except it had a trinity tt port job and k&n pods and i ran 330mains, 27.5 pilots, and stock needles 3 clips down and timing was at +5.............. good luck with the jetting!

my pilots are 50s in mine...i had 52 and wouldnt idle either had to drop to get it to idle. just my .02

check to see if gas and oil seperated in tank and or carb bowl..... mine did that last week. its cold in michigan!

here is the scoop, raced 3 days last weekend on a complete rebuild... ran fine no problems at all, once i got it jetted right. put up on stand in garage, left sit for a week. went out there today to start and ride a little bit and fuck ! their is no tension on clutch lever... so i checked for broken cable, cable good. next step, to the clutch arm that goes into the motor... and no resistance except the sring thats suposed to be on it. next step bike was on floor in gear, tried to roll it... it has good clutch pressure, turns over motor if rolled hard enough.my guess is that it has got to be the lever that goes in the motor or the rod that goes though the motor that relieves the clutch spring pressure .... maybe the 10 mm nut, in the middle of the clutch pressure plate, that we use to adjust our clutch position came loose............ whats your guys take on this situation? thanks anyone who puts out ideas here!

i did decent .. ran mid pack of 8. there was 2 shees and 6 450s. the fight was my buddy and his mx rival... them boys hate eachother! i lead my far share of laps, blew it a few times.. but thats flattracking!

i just got throught jetting mine... wesw helped me! i started with 150 mains, 52 pilots, and cel needles on middlle clip position with idle knobs out 9 full turns and air screw out 1.75 turns. it was a little fat to start but thats what you want to start with... good luck and by the way, wesw is the resident expert here, if you do a seach for his posts he has many pj walk throughs...

Just raced the friday night show and the track was between 1/8 and 1/4 mile . fast was right! i was able to strech 2nd gear out pretty good on the straighs with a 16 : 41 sprocket combo. concrete was slick till rubber was down, then the -2 swinger gave me wheelies out of every corner. we got two more shows on sat and one on sunday. ill get some pics up sometime this week .
