  1. lol. as Shay said, there will be someone at camp all week. Those who'd rather not go to Vegas could ride dunes till they're sick of sand! Almost sounds more appealing to me :D As for the rocks, they are not exposed in 90% of the riding are. Where they are we just slow to a crawl. I've had the same paddles on my duner for 6 seasons with no tears.

  2. Matt, you will be just fine with a 2wd. I never put my pickup into 4x4 to get in and out of our camp site.

Dave, we will be out there Memorial weekend and some people will be showing up early but the actual HQ ride weekend is the weekend after memorial

Todd, I would try the engine vin. If you have the sticker they wont hastle you one bit. And, they won't take your bike. They'll just tell you to load it back up on the trailer.

  3. Requirements for the dunes:

    1) Flag at least 6' (never been hastled about color or size)

    2) ATV must be registered (out of state registration is fine)

    3) No glass bottles allowed (please if you bring it in pack it out)

    4) Under 18 must have helmet, Children ages 12-16 are supposed to have atv riders safety course, 16-18 must have safety course or drivers licence

    5) Pay for use area, each highway vehicle must display pass in windshield. Can be purchased daily or for multiple days.

There is a website I will get on to copy the complete rule list from, we haven't ever been bothered by the rangers for exhaust noise ect.

  4. We will be trying to get a couple of the big circles reserved early thursday so we can have everybody camp close. Always messes up a group ride when everyone's scattered IMO. As for the fuel thing, Shay and I are brainstorming to come up with ideas to accomodate everyone. Methanol thought is allowing the people coming from a long distance pack a little lighter. Alky isn't as easy to come by close to Little Sahara.

The camping is as Finch said "primitive" with no hookups. There are several restrooms and running water at those. Nephi and Delta are the closest major towns, either are about 30 miles from the dunes, there is a fuel station in Lindle about 15 miles from the dunes. I will see if we can start getting some pictures of this place loaded for those of you who haven't been. Shay has a couple from the top of the mountain that show the camp circle where we usually camp. I think this is going to be a great time and well worth the drive for you guys/gals back east. Any questions, feel free to hit myself or Shay (Wildcard2) up.

  5. Banshee HQ and Wildcard Racing will be hosting a ride in Sand Mountain Ut for spring of 2013.

Wildcard and others will be out there for Memorial Day weekend .

There will be a large group of us going to Vegas for some adult fun on Monday , Tuesday, Wednesay, and coming back to the mountain on Thursday for some more riding until Sunday or Monday.

Need to start a head count as we like to do a potluck dinner on Friday.

List up what you are bringing

Also Need a head count and Bikes that require Alky:

Since we are hosting this ride we would like to bring the alky for everyone on the forum.

Also Head count for vegas. So we can look for some good group rates on hotels and other things.

  6. On a stock, unported engine the CPI's and Shearers will both be somewhat undesireable. They will both run fine but you'll suffer a loss of low end tq and see little gain up top compared to your pro-circuits. PC's are a great pipe, debateably one of the best broad midrange pipes on the market. In my opinion Shearers, then CPI's are the best top end pipes on the market. Keep your PC's, forget about T-5's. Save your money towards building and engine that does what you want and let your engine builder of choice help you pick out your supporting mods.

  7. CPI and FMF are the only pipes ive never not had to modify anything to get them to fit..

In my experience, CPI are either going to slip right on or be the worst nightmare in the world to fit. One or the other with them, no "they fit ok". I like how they perform and prefer them to shearers on some setups. I am a dealer for both and have a great deal of experience with both. 99.9% of the shearers I've used have fit quite well for a large inframe drag pipe. In my opinion Shearer makes a very good product, debatably the pipes all other drag pipes are judged by.
