  1. How they are required to test in oregon is 3' back and 3' above the exhaust at approximately 2500rpm

  3. If it was me I would drain the fuel tank, drain the float bowls, clean the carbs, clean air filter, put new spark plugs in it, start it up and see what happens..

  6. What are you running for fuel? With alchohol that's normal.. gas that's not normal(unless you just washed the bike)
  7. The driveline cyls are cast off of the athena cyl the athena cyls have been around longer than the driveline
  8. Those could very well be athena cyls not driveline. Or could be the old RDZ cyls also. Hard to tell from the outside

  11. If you have straight cut gears you need to run a tz bearing on the primary side imo.. if your running stock helix primary's the 8 ball bearing will work just fine
  12. Charlie Brown is pretty much retired sold off a bunch of his equipment over a year ago. He still does a little here and there but not much.
  13. I assume you are talking about Top Dog Racing as cascade has never built a superior sleeve motor(yes top dog did by out cascade a year or so ago). Matter for fact Susan's last drag motor was a 10mm cub(faster than there SS motor)
  14. Then you need to slack all adjustments and work from there i.e. carb cap adjusters, thumb throttle adjustment, make sure the cables are connected in the carb correctly. Also make sure your cable is routed correctly

  16. Good to hear louie got back to you and is able to set you up.. he is a good guy and a wealth of knowledge. Especially with the old school shit. He has been around for ever. First to do stroker cranks for banshees and the original creator of THE FIRST triple cyl banshee.

I would lean tword a plugged pilot jet for the not starting(if you have already checked to make sure it has good spark) dont use eather to start it, use flammable carb clean(carb clean has oils in it, not much but some, and you wont hurt it with carb clean) but you shouldn't need anything if it's right. When you started it on starting fluid did it idle? Front shocks is as easy as pulling 4 bolts
  19. An OEM cable should work fine. But motion pro cable sometimes will not. I have got some motion pro cables that are about 1/4" shorter than stock OEM. You need to slack all adjustments for the cable, carb tops, thumb throttle ect and start from their. Problem with setting idle off the cable is if not routed perfect when you turn the bars it will pick up rpm
  20. Originally this thing would have had cut T3's for pipes. What does it have now?
  21. Touch base with your local Yamaha dealer, they used to be able to get you the actual touch up paint but I havent got any in a few years so I'm not sure if they still do. PJ1 also used to have the OEM yamaha silver. Other than that it's hard to get an exact match

  23. Take 2 boxes end wrenches, cut them and weld them together at 102mm c2c and problem solved. But, buy a new crank and pistons now cause as soon as you install plug locks the fuckers gonna melt!! YOUR MOTOR IS NOT HAPPY IF ITS BACKING OUT PLUGS! Trinity are the only idiots in the world that would suggest plug locks, but they kept harry in business for awhile...
