  1. no that spring is fine. is there something inside the carb that should make the throttle cable return to its normal position?
  2. are you talking about the big spring underneath the cap on the carb?
  3. my throttle stuck wide open the other day out riding. i checked the cable and all is fine. i took the cap off the top of the carb and inside there, where the cable goes in to the carb there is no tension on the cable. when i pull on the throttle cable it does not pull back into the carb by itself. if i push the thumb throttle the cable pulls back in, but it wont do it by itself. the other side is fine. is there a spring inside the carb itself that should return the throttle to idle. do i need a whole new carb? thanks....bigsho
  4. only one cylinder is running wide open though. that wouldnt cause a malfuntion at the lever then both would be firing wot right???
  5. there could definitely be sand in the slide, but there is no hang up ath the lever or on top of the carbs. both have play that why i dont get it.
  6. my bike has pipes, jetted, k&n tors removed, no mods recently. the throttle stuck while i was riding today. i pushed in the throttle and it got really hard to press. i let off it and it was stuck so i just tapped it a few times to see if it was hung up and it stayed stuck wide open. got the bike home and checked the cable going in on top of the carbs, pulled both out of the boot but the didnt seem to be hung up. the thumb thottle also movses freely now. also it is just the right side stuck cause only one cylinder is revving up when i start it. any other suggestions? thanks

  8. i cut it off becase it was not just stripped. whatever is in the frame that the bolt threads into, is broken off and inside the frame.
  9. last time riding my left peg was a little loose. went to fix it today and one bolt snapped off when turning, no big deal. the other bolt was just spinning. the bolt that was just spinning, i cut off with a sawzall. this left just a small piece of the bolt and whatever it was threaded into still inside the frame just spinning around. what now??????????????

  11. THE TORS IS ALREADY REMOVED. ITS NOT THE IGNITION CABLES ITS THE MAIN WIRE HARNESS.
  12. MY SHEE HAS BEEN RUNNING HORRIBLE. WHEN I WAS OUT YESTERDAY MY FRIEND NOTICED THAT THE WIRES RUNNING OVER THE BOOST BOTTLE WERE WORN. WHEN HE MANIPULATED THE WIRES THE BIKE RAN FINE. HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM? IF SO HOW MUCH OF THE WIRES DID YOU HAVE TO REPLACE.

  15. I HAD HALF A TANK LEFT WHEN IT STARTED AND I FILLED IT UP AND IT STILL RAN THE SAME.
  16. WENT RIDING YESTERDAY AND THE BIKE WAS RUNNING FINE FOR ABOUT 2 HOURS. ALL OF A SUDDEN IT STARTED MISFIRING AND THEN STALLED. I GOT IT STARTED BACK UP AND THE SAME THING KEPT HAPPENING. THE BIKE WILL NOT IDLE, IT POPS REAL LOUD WHEN TRYING TO START IT. WHEN YOU PRESS THE THROTTLE IT IS SIMILAR TO BEING IN TOO HIGH OF A GEAR AND STALLS OUT. THE BIKE IS MOSTLY STOCK 2002 BANSHEE. NEW PLUGS JET KIT PRO CIRCUIT PIPES. NO MODS OR TUNING WERE DONE RECENTLY. ANY IDEAS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
  17. what are the big differences between different types of shocks like works or elkas. i mostly ride in sand pits. i do some trail riding and will be doing a little coal mountain riding in pa. what a arms are good for these types of riding. also im 6'5 about 275lbs, i dont know if that has anything to do with the equation for the shocks.
  18. I am new to two strokes and just got a 2002 banshee with pipes and the carb is jetted. I was wondering what the next best mods are for more power. Like I said i'm new to this so i'm clueless as to what I should do next for more power. thanks
