Thank you for the input and I will just keep using what has worked for years. I was just not sure because I have seen people claim that you need race fuel for 150 pounds but if I dont, I wont use it.

My 02' has a fresh Wiseco Pro-Lite top end, head shaved 0.020, timing plate set to +4. Both cylinders are testing at about 150 LBS compression and I want to know if 100LL will be better then just premium??? I found a small airport locally that sells it for $3.99 so that is not even that much more then premium. Let me know what you guys/gals think.
-
This is probably a stupid question but I need to know. When doing a compression check, should the needle stay at the compression point or does it slowly leak out?

Esr exhaust, anyone running it?

You should have told them to update their website because they still list all of their Banshee stuff on there. I was wondering the same thing about their Banshee pipes. -
I went ahead and ordered the Toomey intake. I figured its worth a shot. If I end up not liking it, switching to pods does not cost that much.
-
Yes I do. That picture was taken when she was about 4 or 5 months old I think. Now she is 15 months, walking everywhere, and she will have her first brother born on May24th.

I dont like to consider myself from Hillsboro, that is just where I live right now. I grew up out in Vernonia, Oregon and will move back there in the next year or two.
-
So, your saying that I should be good for the toomey set-up? Or, should I buy a few main jets and mess with my carbs first? Also, I am working on saving for a head and VF3s now.
-
I understand that the sponsors need customers but the price you said did not include top end bearings or shipping. I am having a local guy do my boring and after he measured my cylinders, he said 64.5 is all I would need to go up to. If I had a higher budget I would go to F.A.S.T for sure but I dont, im on limited funds and $210 to my door is the cheapest I found anywhere.

My Banshee currently has FMF Fatty's, K&N filter with no air box lid, and it will be 0.020 over Wiseco Pro-Lites. My current Jetting is 300 main, 32.5 pilot, needle in 4th clip. Let me know. Thanks
-
Is this a pretty good price? Wiseco 64.5mm pro-lites, rings, c-clips, wrist pin, top end gaskets, and bearings. It is $209.00 and free shipping.
-
Right now im leaning a little toward pods with K&Ns. I just wanted to know if this made similar power since it would be easier to clean.

What are everyone's thoughts on the Toomey 2:1 intake that eliminates the airbox completetly?
-
It looks like about 2 and 1/4 turns out. So, I am looking at my Clymers manual right now and then at my carbs and cannot find the Needle jet anywhere. Where is it and why cant I find it? Did I lose it while taking the carbs out?

What jets are you using? Fill out this form...

Once I get it put back together and broke-in, I will do a plug chop and see. I know I do have to adjsut the idle. The last time I went on a ride, I noticed that it would not idle very well.
-
This set-up is how it came from Alba and has ran perfect for the last 8 years. I think I will buy some new jets and start doing some tuning the next time I go riding.
-
I was thinking the same thing. I triple checked it to make sure I was not reading it right. Maybe when I wake up today I will bring it into the house with better light to make sure. Other then that, does the rest look good?
-
So, I am in the middle of a top-end rebuild and was cleaning my carbs today. I have owned this banshee since new when my dad bought it for me from Alba. I have FMF fatty pipes, pro-design intake/K&N filter with outerwear, no airbox lid. Right now my mains are 300, 32.5 pilot, and needle on the 4th clip. I Ride on the Oregon coast so elevation from sea level to 250ish. I ride when it is around 50-80 degrees F. Let me know what you think. Thanks

Like the description states, I am looking for a builder in or around Portland. I know most of you will say to support our sponsors but I would like to support my local economy. Let me know of someone who will do some porting for me.
-
Thanks everyone for the help. For now I will keep the fatty's but will probably upgrade to 916's when I get some porting done at next top end.
-
I wanted to know if anyone has used this set-up before. It seems a little too good to be true for me but since I need a top end anyway, whats a couple hundred more gonna do. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/YAMAHA-350-BANSHEE-ATHENA-392CC-BIG-BORE-CYLINDER-KIT_W0QQitemZ320504065703QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_ATV_Parts_Accessories?hash=item4a9f87eea7
-
That is the thing, I do not know exactly what set-up I am going to go with. I have way too many ideas runningf through my head. I think in the in the end I will have a dune port, lightened flywheel, advance timing 4 degrees, and forged pistons.
-
I might not have had the best title but I am thinking about changin the exhaust on my banshee. Right now I have FMF Fatties with their Q silencers. Is the DMC 916 a step up or should I look at another brand?
-
Not really trying to hijack the thread but who are some of the builders that do a good job at head work? I cannot find any locally (Oregon).
