  1. ya, i know... if i find a frame cheap enuf... but i'd rather get the shocks first if i can use them for both frames.
  2. sold to me! thanks bansheejunky!
  3. pm sent. will buy the whole set!
  4. hi guys. wondering what size rear tire and what gearing you guys are using for mx tracks.i know it depends also on the track and my mods, etc. so here are mine- i have porting and bore, no air box w/ keihns, fatty gold pipes w/ fmf silencers and currently have stock gearing and tire sizes. let me know whatcha think cause i hafta get new tires anyways. i'm looking for a good balance between tight and long mx tracks. thanks!
  5. anyone know how to get ahold of "meat"? or does anyone have opinions or info on his j to a arm conversion kit? thanks.
  6. ok,on closer inspection, i dont think theres enuf clearance between the j-arm and front shock for the yfz's as the yfz shock is larger diameter. grrrrrrrr. i dont really wanna take the shocks off my current yfz to try to fit. does anyone know for sure if it'll work?
  7. yep, thanks for the quick replies, i just emailed you back. just kinda waiting to check out all my options. i'll letcha know when i figure out what i'm doin. thanks again.
  8. i'd buy em for 100.00 shipped. pm me if you need to get rid of em.
  9. FINALLY! thanks for answering my question bill. how was the conversion to a-arm? any problems with it? was it pretty easy? which brand conversion kit did you go with? thanks.
  10. the upper j-arm/a-arm doesnt connect w/ the shock, only the lower a-arms. its my understanding that the mounting points for the top of the shock on both the j-arm and a-arm banshee frames are the same, and that the lower a-arms on both j-arm and a-arm banshees are also the same. can anyone confirm this? i thought that all stock banshee shocks are the same from ALL years regardless if its a j-arm or a-arm banshee. can someone let me know for sure? i also thought i saw a pic of someones j-arm banshee on here having yfz shocks...
  11. its too ugly! i'd never buy it.
  12. 16 views yet no answers? somebody has to know....
  13. will the yfz450 frt. shocks work on the j-arm banshees? will it only need the modifications talked about on the a-arm banshees? thanks!
  14. will the 450 shocks work on j-arm banshees? same instructions to fit them? thanks!
  15. will the yfz shocks work on my j-arm '89 banshee without any modifications? what would all be involved w/ putting em on?

i love my alba! altho i made it a "shorty" exhaust...
  17. in your opinion, would it collect too much dirt? what i mean is that the spray can bedliner has its topcoat not smooth or glossy- its more ruff. i'm just wondering if it'd be too much headache to get it clean...
  18. has anyone used the bedliner that you get in spray cans at automotive stores for frames/ a arms/ swingarms? how does it hold up? you would think that it'd be tons more durable than paint... thinkin of doing my frame and a arms w/ it.
  19. ok guys, thanks for the info!
  20. there is some pitting on one of the domes on my stock cylinder head. is it ok to use it the way it is? if not, is there anything i can do about it without going to a cool head or buying another stock head? thanks.
  21. ok, thanks for the info! is he thinking i need to tear the motor apart to lube the crank, etc?
  22. is there anything i should be concerned with doing prior to getting my banshee that has been in storage for the last 3 yrs. running again? a buddy of mine says i need to "fog" the engine... what the freak is he talking about?! any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. thanks!
  23. so i'm curious, as are probably others... what was the cause????
  24. ok, thanks for helping me out again!
