  1. assuming the reeds you want to buy are aftermarket, lean the needle one clip. If its stock 3rd go to the 4th. With airbox on and no lid go up two main jet sizes to start. 4 if no airbox at all. richen your pilot up and happy tuning. You shouldnt need a new pilot with the airbox on just richen it up with airscrew. Huge power difference with k and n over stock. run outerwears and keep stocked up on the recharge kits. I would run airbox lid on with some of the 1" oilable foam inserts. Dennis kirk sells 6 packs of these. Keep em clean and oil them too. The adapter plate you mentioned is the shiznit if you have an airbox. I live in michigan at 800 feet above sea. 20 over bore, reeds, fattys, k and n pods, no airbox at all, stock carbs. Plug chops are perfect with 27.5 pilots 1 and 1/4 turn out. 330 mains. needle on fourth clip. Runs like a raped ape. no smoke when warm, smooth through all of powerband. happy tuning
  2. I got my quad running. Thanks for all the help with my jetting. Dumb rookie questions but I really needed the help. I bought pink shock covers for when my wife rides. They come off easy. :shoothead: Pictures will be posted soon. Shee looks really good and runs good too.

  4. I think this whole deal got out of hand. The quad is sweet, the topic went to shit. Everyone needs to just ride on how and when they can. The sport has never had a good name. Whats the difference between blowing down a dirt road and a paved one. Nothing other than you cant turn as well. The ticket is the same. My crotch rocket does 180 and i have almost been there. If there is a problem with that than screw off. I think its alot more dangerous than wheelies on a fourwheeler. People should lay off for a while. I doubt the guy really wants to run from the cops. And if he does than so be it. He will hit road before they do. Ride on buddy do what makes you happy. My buddy ate it at 135 on a rocket into a tree. It does not make him a douche bag. Wheels up as long as you dont break or ruin other people shit. your life is your own do what you want. I would more than watch the vids of your street ride. Me thinks I may go do wheelies in the street.
  5. I have seen three turbo banshee set ups. two of them were good for nothing. constantly broke and always in need of seals. The bottom ends just do not hold up. They are fast though. I have seen one turbo banshee that held foot and half wheelies in all gears in silver lake on 10 paddles and pretty good stretch. I do believe this turbo was also off a vw of some sort. I think anyone that needs that kind of power has the biggest balls of any man. No stoker will come close to the power demand and the smoothness of a turbo quad. I have a local shop that is working on a large cc raptor with turbo and juice. 130 + horse without the bottle. Simply for asphalt drags. I know it is a raptor but how frickin sweet is that. Later.
  6. Yeah. turned out im an idiot. I did pull the jet out of the bell. I am used to working on drag cars and the quad tuning is relatively new to me in the last 3 years. I thought that after all i have read the 330 and the 27.5 or 30 would be about right to start. I am going to put in the 27.5 pilots today. Still waiting on my engine guy for the final fire up. Thank you I really needed everyones input.
  7. Thats an awesome idea. Never even crossed my mind. I have another seat maybe i could cover it with pink flames and just swap it out. That is definetly the answer. Thanks man.
  8. Thank you for the input. I bought 330 mains and and i am going to try them. My engine builder is out of town, and im still waiting on my head, I had to have it milled. Hopefully he gets home soon, cause im going wild. Like I said Thanks, Thanks everyone, you have helped me more in 1 week than my local shops could have ever imagined.

  10. My shee just got a new top end, pipes, filters, reeds, ect. ect. I went to jet it and when i put it together there was one carb that did not have that little thin metal tube running down into the bowl. Its the one near the edge of carb. bottom. Gasket has circle cut to go around it. Is there supposed to be one on both or just on the one carb. Thought maybe its for the choke and the choke tube replaces this. Not sure. Thanks guys.
  11. Hey guys just looking for some pink decals perferably a flame kit for my wifes 'shee. A pink flame kit with seat maybe. Any pics this is driving me nuts. We are selling her blaster and she is riding my SHEE. Pink shock cover and flames on my beauty? I dont know. I will still be riding it in silver lake. Kinda gurly. I love my wife............................................sometimes. P.S we all have to act like its hers. shhh
  12. For sale is my wifes old quad. 91 blaster with new front brakes, new rear brakes. Needs new rear cable. New chain. fmf fatty with powercore. New air filter. boysen rad valve and reeds. two sets of rear tires. front tires are getting worn. rear tires are both on rims. vitos 240 kit. motor runs strong and the quad is pretty fast. makes some noise like the wrist pin assembly may be failing. Still has great compression. new carb and carb top. I also have to go with this quad. Another frame, 95 cr 250 motor and swingarm for blaster already cut for the motor. I have radiator, all wiring, carb, and everything to install. The exhaust i have is kind of rigged but it will work. I ran this motor with other frame for two seasons till the top end went. It is still stock bore and the cylinder walls are good. easily rebuildable and can easily be installed in either frame. I do not have title for this quad, bill of sale only. You may see my drivers license and whatever you may need. This quad has been in my family for years so I can guarantee clear title. Let me know if your interested. I would like to get 1,000 firm out of all the parts and the complete running quad.
  13. That is wild man this thing went from right to hot and burned up with a change in filters and a 270 jet. Thanks for the input though, Its nice to know that jetting is a science and every quad is different.

  15. I bought a banshee with fattys and turbine cores, with boysen reeds, no airbox, dual k and n. This guy had 270 mains and 11.6 pilots. Are these pilots even for the quad. I bought it right after he installed the new filters but no bigger jets. It popped the next day definite signs of a hot motor.thanks guys. I read the article on jetting already. It sounds like i need 340 and 30s with the needle dropped one for reeds. I live in michigan. 800 feet above sea level. does this sound right.
