  1. Yeah, the compression is like 70-75 on the cylinders. One is a little higher than the other.
  2. Hey guys, I need to rebuild my top end and I was talking w/ the guy that I bought it from and he said that bringing it in to get the top end done will cost about $600. I'm not really looking forward to that. I'm just gunna buy a repair manual and do it myself. I'm not sure if I should take it apart first or buy a top end kit first. I'm going to college this fall so I was planning on doing it over christmas vacation. Thanks for the help guys
  3. Alright guys so I found out yesterday finally that I need a top end rebuild. But now I'm wondering what I should do....should I just get new rings and shit or should I bore it out and how much should I bore it out? Is there anything that tells you how much speed you increase with bores? Thanks guys....
  4. Yeah dude....if that's not the problem I had the same situation. I brought it in and they took out the reeds and found out they were shot. Got it back and it still wasn't running right crackle and then it would seem like it was running out of gas but it would still idle. Brought it in again and they put new reeds in again cuz there was a little chip taken out. Got it back same thing again...so I brought it up for a third time and they finally figured it out, I can't believe I didn't see it, but it was my CDI box wires...they were hanging low and the pipes melted the wire and it was shorting out every now and then.
