  1. I'm already going to get a dune port hopefully by the end of this summer, and thats when I'll get the 33's. Thanks for your reply.
  2. My local delaership is selling an intake kit. It comes with a K&N filter, outerwear, jets, and I think some other stuff, but I cant remember. Its something like this: http://www.motoxoutlet.com/index.asp?PageA...&ProdID=748 ..except its not Pro Design, its White Brothers. I plan on getting 33mm carbs in the future, and wanted to see if a kit like this one would work with those carbs, or if there is a better option. Any replies would great!
  3. I just put in the Pro Design impeller on my Banshee. I was wondering if there is a company that makes a metal gear to replace the plastic one that sits on the impeller shaft. Any ifo would be greatly appreciated. P.S. Aside from a gasket, I dont have to seal the clutch cover with anything (like Yamabond) when putting it back together do I? I dont think I would, but I just wanted to make sure.
  4. Thanks for the reply. I guess it would just be smarter to just do it all at one time. I never thought about doing it like that.
  5. I've decided to pull the engine apart and get my crank welded. The engine is completely stock right now, but I plan to change that. But should I finish breaking it in before I go pulling it apart? I know it sounds like a stupid question, but I figured I'd ask just in case. Thanks.
  6. Hey guys. I know of this guy named Steve that owns a company called Moto814. He ports/bores 2 stroke engines. I've heard a lot about him on the dirt bike forums I'm a member at, and have heard he does very, very good work. I was just seeing if any of you have had any engine work done by him, and what you thought. I tried searching, but came up with nothing. www.moto814.com
  7. Cool thanks everyone. I really appreciate it.
  8. Hey guys. I have another question. If I were to get a dune port, K&N filter, 20cc domes, and CPI pipes, what size carbs should I get if I decided to upgrade them? Or would I be better off just keeping the stock ones? I might also be getting a timing plate as well. What I'm trying to do is set the engine up for dunes. Thats really the only reason I bought this thing in the first place. So, any help would be great. Thanks.
  9. Thanks a lot guys that was very helpful. I can't wait to build this thing up a little.
  10. Hey guys this is my first post. I heard about this forum on allthingsmoto.com and decided to sign up. I just bought an '06 Banshee left over from my dealer. I just took it for its first ride yesterday, and what a blast it is to ride. I'm new to Banshees, but not new to riding. I'm a dirt bike rider at heart as I mostly ride my '06 YZ250, but I figured it would be fun to get into quad riding aswell. I want to set my Banshee up for dunes. Glamis. Pismo. Sand mountain. You get the point. With all the mods that this world has to offer for banshees, I dont really know where to start, or what the best thing would be as far as engine modifications. I want to stick with the engine I have now, and just modify that to be aggressive in the dunes (even more so than it already is). I was thinking a bore and port job, along with some head domes, but I don't know if that is what I should do. Thats why I need your help.
