ok i let it sit with gas off for a day and still wont start. I cleaned the plugs again and it cranked on the 20th kick with no choke out. Once it starts it runs great. Carbs dirty?

Now i went out to ride it and no start again. I checked for spark and it was good. Ive noticed the carbs leak a nice puddle of gas out overnight, guessing a needle is stuck? Could that cause it not to start? Or could TORS still be causing it. Im gonna do a compression test tomorrow but my engine seems to be very strong. Always cranked on first kick until now. Also i will add that when it wouldnt start after about 20 kicks i could get it too run and it ran great

I disconnected the Tors and it started right up. Parking brake was already disconnected. Now whats the difference between disconnecting the Tors and buying a Tors kit to remove it? Besides making alot of room

I bought this 04 LE banshee about a month ago. It runs awesome, motor feels very strong and always started on first kick. Went riding a few days and went i got home to put it in the garage, no start. I got it in the garage and cleaned the plugs, put them back in and it started on like the 7th kick. Anyways went out this morning and no start. Pulled plugs and cant see spark. Also, i might add the first time it wouldnt start i couldnt get the choke to stay out??? All banshee has is full fmf system. Still has TORS(Problem maybe?)

Forgive me for asking this. But my banshee seems to idle a little faster than it should. Where is the idle screw to adjust? I DO have TORS

ok then its full. Just making sure it wasnt suppose to be to the top. I just recently got it and trying to check everything out on it

How full should the crankcase be with fluid? Everything is lubicated but i cant see the fluid level. Clutch is being weird too (seems kinda weak and wont roll in gear with the clutch in) Can i run a light duty 10w40 if i need to change it?

The guy i got it from said he mixed lucas 2 stroke 40:1, that about right? Im somewhat mechanicly inclined but i might drop it off at a local shop and let them look it over

I guess i have a few questions. Sometimes after sitting for a day or so it takes a while to get it started (like 7 kicks), Is that just because it a 2 stroke? Also ive noticed the engine gets hot somewhat quickly (like 10 minutes of hard riding) Anything to be alarmed about? It has no motor mods but a full fmf system and a boost bottle, but nothing internal

I just got me a 04 special edition banshee. I was just wondering if anyone has some advice for me as in upkeep on it? Any symptoms i should look for before something goes out? I want to take care of it the best i know how

no i used a puller, and all the other eletrical parts check out fine

yea the key is in there, i didnt adjust the pick up, my buddy might have tho... i will see if he has tried that yet

my stator just went bad and i replaced it and cant get the timing right

i have been trying to get my timing right for a month now and cant get it, my friend who works at a small engine shop is having trouble with it also.........is there any info that might help me

When u say its hard to start? does this mean it will sometimes? It had been like this for like 2 weeks and ive gone though 3 cans of starter fluid, could it still be the little passage.....and also im not a huge expert on banshee how do i know if i have stock carbs (not tors if that matters)

I have a 2000 banshee, about 2 years ago something went wrong with the igintion, so i took it too a few local shops when it quit and they couldnt figure it out, about a month ago me and my buddy pulled it out to his shop and found the stator was bad so i replaced it and it gets great spark now, Now i have cleaned the carbs twice (how many jets are there?), i have checked the timing and its perfect, i have changed the plugs twice and still no start. It puffs smoke all day long and sometimes it tries to start, and im out of ideas? Anybody? how can i tell if its getting enough fuel?

welll i got the new key in, cleaned the carbs and still no fire, then i noticed how the left cylinder only sparks sometimes and not very much when it does, is that cdi or coil

come to think of it, when we put the flywheel back on the key was weird looking and the flywheel would spin off balance, but my friend went to work and made it back to normal, should i maybe get a new key?

and yea man ive done the gas in the cylinder and used a bunch of starter fluid, none of it makes a differnence
