  1. Sounds to me like you need to bump up the pilot jet. What pilot is in it now?. Maybe someone else could chime in on this but correct me if im wrong your pilot jet controls idle. Your question sounds more like a jetting issue and you probly would have better luck posting over in the jetting section

I had a similar set up once apon a time. I changed my pilots 27.5 and I would suggest an aftermarket needle kit as well. You must make sure your carbs are synced or shee will idle funky. Your 280 main sounds way fat for a stock motor with air box lid. I would try a240-260 main, or go with a pro-flo intake set-up.Click on F.A.S.T. racing a site sponsor and he has plenty of jets in stock.

  2. I have had similar problem with used shee my friend bought. previous owner put an adjustable timing plate on , never impacted the flywheel rite and it spun shearing the wooddrift key. It would spark when the crank would hit the right spot and catch.I would check it . F.A.S.T. racing sells the puller for $13

  3. sorry to sound like a dick, I feel your pain/frustration. Like I said I had a similar problem and it turned out to be the harness. Im an electrician so I had some spare wire around Imade temporary harness, bypassing all shit you dont need and the bike fired rite away. You have the manual so try atemp harness. Its hard to say with out seeing it

i had it hooked up with that green wire out and taped and still no freakin spark after a new stator and pickup and a replaced the coil and now replaced the CDI what else??????could be wrong? the kill switch was bypassed when i bought it and i cut the lone red and black wires going to the key and twisted them up and taped them is that the correct way of bypassing the key?

Ihave hooked up similar cdi unit diffrentbike. Ileft out the green wire and had spark no problem. do you still have TORS set up if so check carb slides, you must check whole harness up and down bikefor shorts. Next time before you buy all sorts of parts find someone with an electrical ohm meter and check resistance values of all questionable parts. This will not tell you if cdi is bad. the best way to do that is to plug it in to a running bike. I have had wires melting to each other in harness under tape and out of site so you must look at every inch of wire. If you dont have TORS make sure it was eliminated properly and none of thosewires are burnt. IF you still have TORS try unplugging black box for TORS unit and see if it sparks. Also check air gap on pick up coil and make sure regular coil is bolted toframe with good grounding during testing

  5. I have an 06 limited edition with stock milled head and 150psi of compression. I run 50/50 race gas/93. Im running stock timing but have adjustable plate. I have an aggressive porting job on intake/exhaust. The quad absolutally rips as it sits . Im at sea level and 340mains with 30pilots. If I bump the timing to +4 will I gain or will I loose the zing up top. Will advanced timing help burn the good fuel.
