  1. It took me a total three hours to put the harness in the bike on page1-2 of this post, my harness has been in my bike after 2months of owning it in 06, never had problems or issues and didnt even see it all again till i just did the motor again, three hours of my time with snaking wires through frame, did help that i have spools of wire on hand ,but i didnt need much

  2. stock 400 ex with cut fronts its a2002, I bought it 2 years ago from a guy who owed me money for electrical work on his house the bike was ridden once in 2002 and crashed (bent bars) I bent them back and it rode perfect the motor still has that new honda wissle sound its just been sitting hers taking up space I dont want to sell but smething has to go and my wife rides mt 300 and wont let me sell that

    1500 takes it

  3. Im running a rocket ship of a drag port from jeff (stock cyl) there is no dead spot ,plenty of bottom end,so much im having a hard time shiftng due to holding on

My motor would be 100% dunable if i wanted, I took it in the woods up state from me it was sick

  4. I might add...

If you ever upgrade your CDI or Coil, not a good idea to have them that close together.

A Nology coil OR Dyna CDI can cause interference with each other if placed that close together.

I keep mine in the back...I cut my stock rear plastics off, but left the little bit between the subframe rails.

I have a LARGE velcro strip holding mine in. If it goes...I can swap it out in a minute. I've learned to keep spare Sator, CDI and coils in the tool box....

My harness is cut to nothing, I have a set of wires going to the CDI under the seat, my kill switch, coil wires and those going to the Stator. And and extra ground. That's it.

This question is for dajogejr, with the plate set-up I use is the nology coil too close to cdi

  5. Because thats what the customer wanted, and the customer is always right. Bastard customers! The best part is when the call you on the cell phone over a weekend when they have spark or stator problems. All the wiring is the same as stock, and is all there, but it must be something you did because you shortened it for them. It feels great when I put in a new stator and it has spark again. Seriously, if you redo it, its harder to test the wiring, its harder to get to it if there is a problem, and it takes some serious skill to solder it and heat shrink it all so it looks good.

No doubt its harder to troubleshoot, but def looks good, def takes skill, dont start choppin till u do some research

  6. Thats the same bracket I used on mine.. I like how it all turned out..

  8. Exactly! I am turing down the plastic gear a bit....Remove the big washer....Put a little one in front of the e-clip so the eclip will not get caught in the hole.....Going to make sure the alignment is good on the gears.... I bet your running a smaller gear than the 2.36....if it were a bit smaller I would not have to relieve the case or turn down the water pump gear.... Oh well....

You Shouldnt have to fox with any of the gears just the washer hits, I have 2-cubs and a stock cyl bike all with overides allwith stock cluth cover nothing was an issue except the washer, your pump gear might look like its hitting but i duobt it
