  6. its safe to say its not a woods trail port considering it has very little bottom end any idea to what it is from the pics ? since its already 80 over im gonna look into finding some stock heads to go back on it it has the wrong type of power for my type riding and its a handfull in the woods the cyl.s dont look like they have been done very long so im gonna have them check and rering it and put it back together till i can trade or buy some stock cyl.s anyone looking for ported cyl.s thanks for the input guys it helps alot to have you guys to ask for help
  7. ok here are the pics of my cyl.ssorry about the quality and size had to use the camara phone
  8. ok here is what i can see looking at it from the same way your pic is they look just alike now if i turn the cyl. over there is two holes on each side of the sleeve that has also had work done in them and all the little holes inside the cyl. have grinder marks also ill try to find a cam to get some pics of them thanks
  9. ok i tore mine down tonight and my ports look just like the ones pictured here but i cant tell from the pics right above where they sharpened the center of it is a hole they have opened up pretty good that sorta v shapes down to the sharp edge of the center piece (sorry not very port smart here hope you understand what in saying
  10. i personaly have done no work to this other than the swingarm extension i done a compression check on it when i first got it(but after i done the compression check i seen on here that you are supposed to hold the throttle open while doing it and i didnt dont know what kind of diff. it makes ) and there was about a 5psi or so difference between cylinders is the reason i tore into it but every thing looks great inside the cyl.s you can tell its not been run much after being built you can still see the hone marks in the cyl.s im guessing it has the stock carbs with the tors removed it has a stock stroke hotrod crank im guessing since it has no plate under the cyl.s i traded a stock 300ex to the banshee the guy who had it before me was scared of it and wanted somthing with less power so i jumped on it (can you blame me but thats about all i know that has been done to it as far as the port goes it looks just like the pics someone posted in my thread about ports on here ill pull them back up so you can see them thanks again kenny
  11. when i got it it had a stock swingarm the front end was in the air thru all the gears so i got a 2" extension for it and it dont help it still pull wheels up going down hill in all gears i must say this is my first banshee and it scares the shit out of me in the woods i do mainly trail riding and just messing around on the trails as soon as i can get a camara ill get some pics of the port work thanks kenny
  12. ok here is my question i just tore the motor down on my banshee i just got a couple months ago here is what ive found piston size is 65.92mm(how much is it bored out) its also ported to hell and back i dont think its a woods port as it has a bottom end that sucks but is a demon after the power band hits (not my style of power would rather have more bottom end myself) but like i said i just traded for it a while back and that is the way it was when i got it its got hotrod crank k&n filter toomey t3's or 4's not sure wich ones what kind of hp am i looking at on this thing ? so basicaly i need to know how much over its bored and what type port do you think it has and what kind of hp if you can help on these thanks kenny
  13. ok ive been reading a quite a bit on here the last few days and figured i would leave it to the pro's im trying to make my mind up on what to do ive got a 1989 j-arm banshee with a loose ball joint i need to replace the j-arm and everything i have found is high in price would i better myself switching over to a-arm frame whats the ride and performance diff. between the two ? i have found a a-arm frame and a-arms for $200.00 and the j-arms ive found they want around $100.00 for just the arms would you go with the frame and arms ? or just replace the bad j-arm? thanks
  14. THANKS FOR THE PICS IT SHOULD BE EASY TO TELL WHEN I TAKE IT APART I AM JUST TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT ALL HAS BEEN DONE TO THE MOTOR SINCE I DONT KNOW WHO BUILT IT AND THE COMPRESSION DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO CYL. HAVE ME WORRIED SO IM GONNA TAKE IT APART AND GO THROUGH IT BEFORE RIDING WEATHER HITS THANKS AGAIN
