i have some cash and i am wanting to get me some +2+1 a-arms.. I have been looking at the sanddragon ultra cross arms that are designed for yfz450 shocks. at the moment i have yfz 450 shocks on my stock arms. should i shell out the $600 for the sand dragons or would this way be better. i found a set of fluidynamics i4500 front suspension set up for $700. this comes with the shocks tie rods all the bells and whisles. which shocks would ride better, and how much can i get for a set of yfz shocks. i would be wiiling to sell my yfz's and my stock arms etc.. and get the hydro's if they would be better. I just need some help because i don't want to drop $600 on something i wont like.(also will the hydrodynamics set up the shocks for my weight and riding style etc.., i don't want to pay to get my shocks or new shocks set up....) let me know any info you all have, or what you guys think would be the best rout..

SPark plug lock, where to get one?
SmokinBanshee96 replied to New02's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
(CASCADE HAS 'EM) go to cascadeinnovations.net then click on banshee accessories and performance, then scroll down to spark plug lock, its $30, i like cascade, they have good products. -
i would go with either amsoil or royal purple. I run royal purple syncromax in all my race car tranny's, but i runamsoil supershift in my shee. Its good stuff...

whats the best bend for handlebars on a banshee
SmokinBanshee96 replied to peterlocal22's topic in Product Reviews
i have the RM high bend bars for mine. I did not like the bars that were on mine. they were way to tall. felt like harley bars.i like the lower rise better , plus pro taper is a good bar to go with for the price. -
I have yfz 450 shocks and I have been looking at the asr sprot star plus arms and the pro star arms, and also the full flight arms. Thet all look like a good arm, but i don't know which is the best for the price. I also don't really get the diff. in the sport star plus's and the pro stars's( for 50 bucks there is something). so any of you who know a little about these arms or those of you who have 'em chime in and let me know what you think...(also i understand that the heims are better but how often do they need replaced, and how much do they run?)

The compression feels real good, like the day i bought it, and its has never lost a bit of powe, it still pulls like a damn semi.(just faster) well, it has the dmc 916 exhaust, wiseco .040 pistons, white bro boost bottle.. prodesign foam filters, and some clutch work. not much to the engine. i boght it this way, the only thing i have done is the clutches, it has been like this sense i bought it from the guy(not wanting to start right up).. they guy didn't know much about banshees( he just knew it was too much for him) so i have no idea what jets are in it or where the idle screws are set..

i have been thinking about getting the asr arms.. let me know how they handle when you get the motor going... i have yfz shocks on the front, do you guys think the asr's would be a good a-arm to go with? and how often do you have to replace the heims(are they expensive)?

hey, i got a quick question, i got a 96 banshee with .040 wiseco pistons, and boost bootle, there is a few other mods, but nothing crazy. i hear a lot of guys talking about how their banshee's start on the first kick, when mine has been sitting i have to kick it 5-15 times before it fires, then it runs like a stripped ass ape, no problem at idle after its warm, it just doen't what to start on the first kick, what can i do to get it to start easier? any ideas.(or is it cuz its cold out)

400ex thumb or cacade extened thumb throttle
SmokinBanshee96 replied to halfrack's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
do the thumb levers you buy from cascade just slide into your stock throttly box?, i was wanting to get one but i want to keep my stock handle. -
im sure as long as you don't mix it to lean its not going to matter what oil you use. like everyone else said 32:1(thats what i run mine at) don't use the amsoil saber, its smells like shit and my shee didn;t run very well on it. i like the maxima and the klotz benol(i use this the most) they smell real good, like your at a race track, and remmembera 2 strokes that not smokin is a 2 stroke that not runnin

shift star/clutch diseng. adg./ shift pro
SmokinBanshee96 posted a topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
i got on cascadeinnovations.net and found some stuff that looked really cool, but i want to know if they really work. They new shift star(shift segment) looks like it would work with its rounded edges rather than the steep ones of the stock, the clutch adg. also seems like it would work out real nice. but i don't know about the shift pro (but i also am not sure what the stock link looks like( i havent gotten that far into a clutcvh yet) but let me know what you guys think about all this stuff, especially you guys that have it installed. -
i have a worn out stock clutch basket that im gettign ready to replace. i really don't want to buy a new stock one unless that is the best buy. i have researched the hinson, the wiseco, and the boss baskets. there is also some off brand billet one on ebay. what do you gusy think would be the best for the price? i don't need to go all out right now, and im not running a 10mil chettah, my engine is just .040 over with a few mods, i jsut want to get soem opinions before i drop a couple bills on a basket that sucks.(also can i take the gear of mine and bolt it to they new one i buy?)

CASE SAVER/ LOCKNUT/ INLINE COOLER
SmokinBanshee96 replied to SmokinBanshee96's topic in Product Reviews
i was thinking the same thing, there might be a minimal change but i don't see how it could reduce the water temp enough to make a diff. because like you said there is very little surface area for the cooling to actually take place. -
I was thinking about buying a case saver, locking nut for my axle, and an inline cooler for my banshee. I was wanting to get some of your all's opinions. I know the case saver saved my buddies case on his 450r, but what about the banshee, do the chains break? and if so is the case saver worth it?.. also i was thinking of gettign a modquad locking axle nut? worth the price, or should i just keep the stocks? also. i have a temp quage on my banshee, and it does real good but sometimes in real hot days it gets pretty warm during trail rides, and when i ride it hard.. will an inline cooler help any? and for those of you who have temp guages what is a good running temp? and what temp is too hot? thanks guys Dustin

i have a 96 banshee and i just put new clutches in it. It is pretty hard to pull the lever and it has problems going into the gears under power(if i power shift). i have done adjusting on it, but i can't get it right, what could be the problem? and should i go with a hydaulic clutch? what your alls opinions on them? thanks Dustin

what do you guys think about the swing arm extensions? any one have em'? what would be a good swing arm to go with for the price, i want to do all around riding... some mx, but mainly trails.... thanks
-
Ok, i bought a 96banshee a while back, and i love it and hate it. The power and everything is awesome( i can smoke modded 450's all day) but it handles like shit. I have limited funding, but i want to make the bike handle better. i get arm pump real fast on the mx tracks, and the damn thing is so hard to steer. what do you guys recommend doing? Here is a little info about it. Its got stock a-arms with yfz450 shocks. stock swing arm with stock rear shock. i just put 5" spacers on the rear and 3" spacers on front(they were given to me) and they seemed to help quit a bit from before, but its still not a pleasure to ride. what a-arms, swing arm, etc... do ya'll recommend? and any other tips to get it to handle. i ride it a lot in the trails and i like to jump and ride mx tracks, so i don't want to make it all out race...thanks Dustin
