  1. oh right on. i believe mine has had an advanced key put on it. so i am hoping that is it. i've just been having a hell of a time trying to think of what the problem could be but this is sounding really promising, i am going to check it today right after work.
  2. So how do you end up shearing the key in the first place they really aren't load bearing are they? but ya i think that will be the first thing i check. thanks a bunch
  3. Ya this actually happened to me yesterday at little sahara also,(had to be towed by a yfz450 the whole way back) i think this may be the same problem, i was riding my banshee for about 2 hours and then i shut it off. then started it back up and then it died after about 5 seconds. wouldn't start after that. it is still getting a spark because we pulled one to see if it was and its still sparking. it just wont fire up. it will spark and fire maybe once or so because when i kick their is exhaust coming out just wont stay running.
  4. Hey thanks that is what i was trying to get at.. this will help out a lot..
  5. Hey that is a really smart idea... Now all i gotta do is find a grandma. hahaha
  6. Ya i was wearing pants ha ha. I knew that was coming. i've melted riding pants and i can still get burned through jeans too. I have the old style cpi's and they are huge. they are right in the way. so your almost always touching your pipes with your legs when you ride.
  7. What are some peoples opinions and ideas on protecting themselves from getting burned by the exhaust. I have CPI inframes and it seems every time i ride i end up getting burned on my legs. Has anyone done something to prevent this and have pictures of their setup. I'm sure just about everyone on here has been burned a time or two. haha
  8. Well personally i like the CPI pipes, that is what i have on my banshee and i love them. i live about 10 miles from CPI. and i absolutely love them. They are sick pipes for the dunes. thats just about the only place i ride.
  9. so i do have the standard rods. i just didnt know. i was thinking there was a difference but i wasnt sure. so i did get the new pistons they just traded me for the right ones... thanks for the help.
  10. Thanks for the info i will have to go and switch them out with a shop... good thing i asked or i would have been out about 150 bucks or so. thanks a ton
  11. So i just got some new pistons that were matched with my cylindars by the machine shop (CPI) but the ones i got are for a long rod. I am pretty sure i dont have longer rods. will they still work or do i need new ones? They are the Wiseco Long Rod Pistons. If someone could help me out that would be great.
