  1. If you're that bored I suggest spelling lessons.
  2. Sweeeeeeet. [/cartman] Thanks guys.
  3. What should I use to fill the valve stem hole if I turn the front wheels inside out? A bolt and some rubber washers? I've seen this done before but I didn't look close enough to notice how they filled the hole.
  4. No, it's saying the best gain was 146hp. Stock peak power was 179. That kit was put on a 215hp model. 15-20% power loss through the drive train is normal.
  5. Well, it's not just he extra boost, but the whole package that makes the numbers. Here's their dyno sheet. This truck has the whole power pack system. http://www.bankspower.com/test_results_AD01.cfm
  6. Stock boost on the 2001 CTD was 18 or 19 psi max I think. The banks kit will allow the truck to run @ 30+psi (if needed, of course). The stock clutch won't handle all that extra torque. It all depends on how heavy your foot is though.
  7. And I found one. 2001, but it's got the 24v with full bank$ power pack and 2" skyjacker and for a decent price. Picking it up Thursday. Looks like I'm gonna have to drop a grand for a clutch that will handle 30psi though
  8. I recently bought a 03 ram 2500 with the hemi. The wife is driving it now -- I want a diesel. I don't buy anything off the lot so I've been looking around at stuff a couple years old. After plenty of looking, driving, and research, I've decided on cummins with manual tranny. You just flat out can't beat that combo (if you can find them for sale, that is :ermm:).
  9. I never got around to jetting for the cold, so needless to say I've been smiling a lot the past couple days. Is it just in Indiana or are all of you guys getting some decent weather?
  10. Glisten PC, a product from the guys at POR 15. Awesome stuff for clearcoating metal. Won't chip off.
  11. Did you use a special primer or just plain old grey stuff? I know the krylon fusion paint won't crack, but how about the primer???
  12. I'm diggin the orange. If anybody gets it and needs some parts, I have a quest in my garange and half of another in my shed. These cars are a blast and can take a beating if you keep them running correctly. Lots of info on starquestclub.com
  13. Got mine yesterday. Excellent work. Thanks doood!!!!
  14. Where in Indiana? I bought my first shee last month and haven't been able to ride at all with this snow and miserable cold weather (plus I still haven't had a chance to verify the jetting is correct). I'm looking for a quad for the wife and we'll probably do some riding at the badlands when it warms up. Have you been there? I'm in Rensselaer and it's about a hour south near Attica.
  15. periods dude. sentences. my head hurt reading that.
  16. My bike has purple renthal bars on it (NO I DIDN'T PUT THEM ON THERE). Can I sand the anodizing off and polish them? Please help unfag my shee.
  17. You can buy the duplicolor spray vinyl dye at any autoparts store. That's what I'm gonna try on my nets.
  18. Thanks for the info.
  19. Which is the recommended plug? What's the big difference between the projected tip and resistor type plugs?
  20. What can you use to paint plastic? I imagine Krylon Fusion would work but I doubt it would hold up well.
  21. Wanting to dress this old thing up. I'm not a fan of the purple but that's what I'm stuck with. I'll be doing the plastic renew. Most of the stuff I've seen on ebay is cheap and cheezy. Suggestions?
  22. that four banger with dinosaur throttle body injection runs a 12.9
  23. If you don't have a good buffing wheel you can just sand with progressively finer grit. I polish with 80, 200, 400, 800, 1000, 2000, fine steel wool, and finally some mothers polish. A dremel works great for those hard to reach places. A mouse sander makes quick work of large flat surfaces. I did the aluminum on my conquest's engine while it was out.
  24. It was a pit quad for a race crew and a lot of stuff has been done to it, but he did not have the build sheet from when the top end was redone, but it was redone with a prof port/polish. This is the first quad I've owned so I'm kinda new to the scene, but I know it's a lot faster than any other quad I've rode. I know that isn't saying alot comparing a banshee to most but the only other machine that has freaked me out this much during a first time ride was a gixxer 1000.
  25. Well hopefully I never have to tear into it and find out exactly what he was talking about.
