  1. :yelrotflmao: Ok that problem sorted. When the wheels are off the ground the left sits slightly lower then the right but when on the ground it all comes good. Camber is set now for the caster, does anyone know the OEM figure.
  2. Ok cool, it sounds like I have the right idea then. I'm using digital calipers to make sure the adjustments are the same. My prob atm is that when setting the 2 top adjusters on the top arm the same, the top left arm is sitting lower the top right arm giving less room on the heim's therefor more negative camber on the left hand side. if that makes sence. If you could get me the correct oem for the caster that would be great!
  3. yep a new post was started for it. "Bairdy13 and the a-arm/tie rod issue. " :ermm: Question. For camber u measure bottom to bottom of wheel then top to top and there should be about 1 inch less on top right. With caster the top of the spindle should sit 4.5 deg behind the bottom of the spindle (about 1/3 of an inch). Is that right? and you adjust that by the 2 heim's on the top arm? Everything you do to one side you do to the other and it should be a mirror image. I know this may be common dog for most of you but I thought If I start from scratch ill find the prob. Instead im running into more. :shoothead: Al
  4. email sent.
  5. Dam it I cant seem to post the first few pics. Could i email them to anyone? Really need help now. I started from scratch again. I adjusted everything exactly the same and there is more clearence on one side then the other!! The other half is getting pissed because im spending more time with the bike then her. lol Hence the delayed reply. They just dont realise do they! lol
  6. Hey guys, for a start sorry for stealing this thread. I did order +2+1's and I'm sure that is what they sent. I'll post pics as soon as I've set it all back up to the way I think it should be and let you guys have a look. I've had the front end off about 3 times already this arvo trying different things. Just hope I am doing something wrong and you guys can pick it up. Thanks for the input so far.
  7. Yep thats it in a nut shell. So if I have the bottom A arm mounting moved it should work? hmmm Anyone know how much? Its that or new shocks. :ermm:
  8. Hey guys, ASR ended up sending me the wrong tie rods. I flew home today thinking sweet there here, I should be able to ride tomorrow. Well the good thing is that there is no problem with the shocks or the a arms, they have plenty of clearence and the hemi's are fine! The Bad part is that the tie rods are not going to work :: with the wheels off the ground the spindle's hit the ends on the tierod, I gave a mate a call and he brought his longer tie rods around with the shock ball joints....even worse! Thats not all, if you try to turn with wheels off the ground the tie rod hits the botton a arm brackets (to much travle) and they hit the top a arm. Sorry for jumping the gun on my previous reply, I was just excited that they actually fitted, pitty I didnt wait for the bigger picture. Sorry for building up your hopes Chris and I hope you didnt order. Well the plan now is to find some more shocks and get rid of the 450's. Anyone know if the the works duel rate no ressis are any good? or another alternative with out breaking the bank to much. Well now everyone knows ASR and YFZ 450 is a no go.
  9. Hey Chris, yeah I will get that for you though you may need to wait untill the weekend, snowed under with work at the moment  . So if you can wait for a few more days that wont be a problem. Al
  10. Hey guys, I just received my asr +2+1 Pro star plus (the $400 pair) they sent them on the 16th and I got them in Australia on the 20th!!! I also got hold of some 05 yfz450 shocks for 260AUS and I tell you they are as if they were never on the bike in the first place. Anyway my point is that there is no mods needed to the a-arms, the only thing you need to do is grind down the top shock mount as described here http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=47969 . At full travel there is a good 5/8 inch at the closest point to the a arm. All I have to do is adjust the caster and camber. If anyone has some good advise on setting it up for trail let me know. I'll let you know the overall ride hight difference to shock when I'm done.
  11. Yep exactly as I thought. Cheers. PS: Oh and Bansh-eman.......GOD I LOVE THOSE BOOBS!!!
  12. Hey guys can some one tell me what is the best way to adj your camber and caster? A mate said I would need a camber and caster gauge!
  13. Yeah I just thought I'd see what other people thought as it would be better then spacers (I dont like the idea of spacers) as you would elliminate the extra leverage. Also in this set up the weekest point would be the bolts! I'n saying this I think I will buy the +2"+1" a arm. I know I have read this some where but can u tell me how +1" helps? also whats the go with smaller swing arms? Cheers guys
  14. Hey guys, What does everyone think of the A-arm widening kits? Are they any good? here is a link to one sit that makes them though not for the banshee just yet. http://www.diamondjcustoms.com
  15. Hey guys, I've been looking over this topic the past few days and I'm almost sold!!! As far as I could see, no one has messured the clearence from ground to fram. On a stock as they come shee it is about 10 3/4 inch. Also does anyone with this mod ride trail. If so how did it go. Nice work Mullet man!
  16. Hey cheers for that. how long would these shocks usually last before they need a re build? I realise it depends on the rider, ect
  17. Hi guys. can anyone tell me what to look for when buying used shocks. I've been looking on ebay though I'm not sure what to look for!! I'm looking at the yfz's? Also would anyone know how expensive it would be to send a pair to Australia. Any help would be great. Cheers guys
