Bought a new stock crank and a vito top end rebuild kit.I pulled case apart swapped out bad crank with new crank, put case back together, sealed and finished.Started on top end,went to put new pistons on and the damn pins wont fit through the wrist.Is there a differnt size in the stock crank arms or what the new pistons fit the old crank fine.I could beat them in with a hammer but dont want to swrew anything up.Please,any feedback would help

  2. The 700s can be really strong. They get a huge advantage with the torque they put out a 70- 80 hp raptor with 60 - 65 ft lbs of torque will run with a 90 horse and 50 ft lb tq banshee. I think with the right setup and a 4 mill cub you wouldnt fin many raptors that would beat you tho. There are a few that ride at LS that run very well.

    I dont think my cub has been ported.I dont know much about it and dont know what to look for, to see porting.What i'm trying to say is when I bought my cylinders from phil's cycle in El Reno OK,He told me they had a good port job done on them and handed them to me,I didnt see anything different.Thats sounds stupid and I'm new at this,ive always ran stock cylinders with pipes and a few bolt ons. I have read about porting and understand how it works,just dont know what ported cylinders look like.Anyways is it possible to buy a new set of cub cylinders and they already been ported, or do you have to send them off?

I went to sand dunes this weekend and did a little drag raceing.Bike was runnin great was spankin the yfz 450's and the shees im sure they were stock shees.I met a guy running a new 700r he said he had done tons of engine mods (stroked, piped all thet good stuff)The guy said sand trax of Tulsa had built it and it dynoed 84hp.I raced this guy at least 10 runs or better, I had a bad launch on the first run and he smoked me.The rest of the times if I didnt shift perfect I would just barely get him.I definitly believe this guy was pullin 84hp.I think if I changed my gearing that day I would of tore him up.But thats besides the point that thing was strong.Have any of you guys seen a 700 that fast?Please post, vids would be cool.

Hey guys having problems with reed spacers on my bike I put the spacers between the intake boots and reeds with the reeds directly to the engine and it is not pushing against reeds to hold them together, I have vf-3's reeeds so you all that have them should know what i'm saying.If I put spacers between reeds and the engine will it hinder its performance and change the way the reeds work? heres a pic of how they were.

Hey guys bought my sencond shee and it has a 8 over swinger with a bone stock engine, it doesnt need this and I like to trade for a stock swinger,but if I trade for a stock Id ask for the trader to pay shipping on both.An extended swinger is worth allot more than a stock swinger.For an +2 ill pay shipping on my end.The swinger appears to be new it has some kinda stain on the right side that I think would polish out.

  6. Oh ya, heres my other toy sorry guys hate to admitt it but I own a 2007 yfz 450 to its all stock but a slip on hmf pipe.My wife rides this beast. I think since I bought another shee ill have to buy a bigger trailer lol.The pics of my new banshhe are off the ebay auction so thats not my house, so if the seller sees this.

    Here's my 2002 shee I give 2300 for this bike, it was bone stock when I got it.4 mill cub cylinders,4 mill stroker crank,lockup clutch,barnett basket,cpi smallbore out of frame drag pipes,cool head pro d,8 over swinger,35mm pwk airstriker carbs,v-force 3 reeds,boss billet spacers,black maire skins,fly handle bars,polished clutch and stator cover.ya this is my baby!

  8. Just bought this bike on Ebay for 3,000. About 2 hours on it since rebuild. rebuild includes: yfz450 a-arms that a polished(need a little more to be perfect), polished cool head, itp rims, hole shot tires, painted frame w/2 layers of clear, renthal chrome bars, pistons have been bored .60 over, cool head(polished), trinity racing stage IV 2 into 1 intake (polished), keihin 36mm carb w/braided throttle cable have spare jets as well as stock carbs, polished thumb throttle, polished brake resivor, chrome bar clamp, kill switch, fmf gold series pipes and silencers, +6 extended swing arm stock style carrier, braided rear brake line, custom painted candy apple red marble with 3 coats of automotive clear. Polished clutch cover w/chrome insert and water pump cover.Let me know what you guys think was tis a steal?

Hello guys, got another stupid question.I put new carbs on my 4 mill cub,35mm keihns with a 160 mains and 48 pilots as told by my local shop (phils cyle),installed and test run at house,also switched from cpi inframe to out of frame cpi with silencers.everything was good at home.Took my bike out to dunes,ran one race my bike scared the hell out of me.The next race I lost my right cylinder it would fire at mid throttle but at high rpms it would do nothing.Okay,went to truck maybey a fouled plug?Ok changed plugs went back out and same thing.Came back, pulled airfillters started ran perfect so I left it running put filters back on with engine running and you could here it kill the cylinder.I adjusted the air screws,went back out for another try and turned her around went to truck and loaded it went home pissed off.Any comments would help thanks guys

    My mods are 4 mill cub cylinders,hot rods 4 mill crank,v force 3 reeds,boss intakes,.400 billet spacers,35 mm keihn carbs,k&n pod filters,+8 swing arm,slingshot lockup,barnett basket,barnett fibers with hd springs,billet water pump,pro d coolhead,running race fuel.

  10. Yeah the slingshots are good, I haven't personally used them but know of alot that do. Did you get the under the stock cover one? I would do a compression test 1st before thinking about a rebuild. Unless you sucked in some sand or leaned it out it shouldn't need a rebuild.

     

    I got the whole setup off ebay lockout, stock polished cover that has been moddified to fit the lockout.I had a bad k&n filter pod and it kept falling off so I think I sucked some sand into the cylinder.

  11. Yeah I would say it has worn the clutch fibers down. You're going to need a lock-out at least for a 4mil cub. I am running one without an override, which alot will say is dumb, but it works great for me, still shifts fine when I wanna drag and it's perfect for duning.

     

    I bought a slingshot lockup clutch.Have you heard anything good about these this is the first one ive seen.The last time I was out at the dunes I smoked the clutch, replaced it and added hd springs and still has the same outcome.Should I do a rebuild on the topend mabey new rings and pistons and a fresh nikalsil?

  12. Doesnt pull hard off the line like it did before,was hard to keep the front end down now have to pull back hard to get a wheelie .Thanks for the info on the jets.

I have a few questions,just bought a set of 35mm airstrikers by khein and intakes to fit I need some jet around about sizes so Ill know where to start.Also picked up a slingshot lockup anybody had any luck with these?I built my 4mill cub last July and have about 8 weekend trips to the dunes and it seems like it has lost allot of power since I rolled it out of the garage after breaking it in.Would new rings and reeds revive the 1 thru 5 two wheel ride or am I going overboard?Sorry for all the questions havent visited the hq in awhile. :blink:

  16. Thanks both of you, first about the inside of the case.. I put everything together just like it came out so i think thats ok, but as far as the kick start is concerned, i dont konw, i guess i will check that out, sounds like it could be the problem, i mean the sound and feeling could be that somthing is catching or binding. The chain was lose and i tighted it up alot, prolly too much, about 1.5in of play. and the sprockets and chain look good, so i dont think thats it, but its a feeling as like the chain is jumping, or like the rim was spinning inside the tire. but i dont think thats it. keep the ideas coming for sure, i think i can get this fixed one way or another, i just home i dont have to go into the trans to do it so i want to knock everything else out first, thanks as always

    Have you checked your swingarm to see if bushings are wore down?This could be the problem, my bike did the same thing in sand and on pavement but not in grass.If the bushings are bad it will cause the arm to get cocked to one side,and under a load the chain will jump on the rear sprocket I hope this helps
