  1. could that really be my problem? i plan on getting a port job done this winter but didnt think that it would make that much of a difference because the difference is huge
  2. stock carbs with single K&N filter. running at sea level. i know that nothing was done to the bike, it is my bosses bike. i just pulled one of the carbs apart and it has a 330 main. yes it has good compression, i did a compression test and got 160psi. the temperature this weekend was about 50 degrees but i usually ride in warmer weather around 70ish
  3. i was down at sand lakes this last weekend and they were ticketing anyone and everyone. the limit there is 97db. my friend got a $175 ticket on his 450r. i had them test mine, cpi pipes re-packed silencers right before i got it tested and still tested at 103db. they said that they are starting the be more strict because oregon is about to have to close down the dunes.
  4. i only ride at the dunes so sea level is my only elevation. typical riding temperatures are around 65-75 and im running a single K&N filter
  5. i just got back from the dunes where i rode my 05 banshee for the first time with the new cool head. my problem is that we did alot of drag racing and i keep on losing and i know its not me because we switched bikes and my bike still loses. i have an 05 banshee with a coolhead 20cc domes, cpi pipes, v-force 3 reeds. the bike i kept on losing to was a 96 original motor, toomey pipes and v-force reeds. his seems to rev out alot faster. im pretty sure jetting is my problem. could someone tell me where you think i should start out jetting wise and how i would be able to tell if the jetting is close. i am new to the 2-stroke world so as much help as possible would be great
