  1. Any time you pull the carb caps off (Tors in your case) you need to re-sync them. Do the air screws have any effect when you move them?
  2. Did you take the carbs off when you replaced the reeds or just move them to the side. If the carbs are not synced it can cause idle problems.
  3. Are the reeds new or used? I had the same problem. Bike wouldn't idle and was rich. Dropped down to a 25 pilot and it was still rich (died as soon as the choke was cracked open). Replaced the reeds and it's back to where it used to be with a 27.5 pilot.
  4. I have a pair of 19.00" Elka Elite front shocks for sale. They are quadruple rate with High and Low speed compression, rebound, and preload adjustments. These shocks were used on my Banshee with a set of Janssen Motorsports Outlaw long travel a-arms (+3, +1). They were valved for a 175 lb rider and motocross riding. I custom ordered the shocks from Elka with remote reservoirs and a hose length of 46". The reservoirs were mounted under the seat to try and keep the nose as light as possible. You can see how they were mounted from the pics in my Picasa album. All Janssen arms are made by Fireball Racing. You can still get a set of arms from them. Last time I called the complete front end package for these shocks runs $650. That's everything including tie rods and powdercoating. He doesn't have a part number, just specify Banshee Longtravel A-arms. These are the same a-arms used on this bike. DDQ The shocks are in great shape, less than one years use in the dunes. Getting rid of them because I swapped to a pair of Fox Float Evol's. $525 shipped! I have a 100% feedback rating on eBay with 264 feedbacks, my member ID is texas_banshee. Will accept payments through paypal. I have more pictures posted at: Picasa PM for further details or call 719-649-8516.

  6. I have a pair of 19.00" Elka Elite front shocks for sale. They are quadruple rate with High and Low speed compression, rebound, and preload adjustments. The first spring is a zero preload spring for a lower ride height. Four rubber mounting cushions for the reservoirs are also included. These are the same a-arms that are shown on the recent "Long Travel a-arms" post in the suspension forum. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=137308 I can't remember exactly when I purchased them, probably some time in 2004. They sat in a box until I finally got the quad running in Jaunary of 2009. They have only been run a small amount this past couple of years and are in excellent condition, almost like new. I am getting rid of them because I recently changed to a pair of Fox Float Evol's and have no use for them any more. Serial numbers on the shocks are B131144 and B131145. You can call Elka with the serial numbers to verify if you like. Paid $1,500 new. Will take $750 shipped. I have sold over 200 items on eBay with 100% feedback, my member ID is texas_banshee. Will accept payments through paypal. I have more pictures posted at: http://picasaweb.goo...sheeElkaShocks#
  7. Here is the page from a Yamaha service manual for the banshee. Same curve as what J-Madd gave you.
  8. Anyone know what angle Pro Design machines their domes at for both Banshee and Blaster pistons?
  9. A lean A/F ratio can cause it to run hotter. Don't know what your combo was before, did it change significantly during the new build? Were the cylinders ported after the big bore sleeves were installed?
  10. From what I understand the air striker produces a stronger vacuum signal due to the channels in the inlet bell. More signal pulls more fuel and requires a smaller jet. I tried a single 35mm air striker on my ported 350 at 4000ft elevation and couldn't get it to idle correctly using the smallest pilot that's available. It was close but still too rich. I would bring the pilot down until the motor is happy and idles well, don't worry too much what size you end up with.
