  1. If you have any more leaks I highy recommend using that Gasganich sealer/dressing on all the matting surfaces. I had a couple leaks at the studs and especially at the back where rad hose clamps to that 90degree fitting. The leak here I belive came through the bolt holes. After applying the sealer to these areas I haven't had a problem.
  2. Which trailtech lights are you using? Are they the 4" or mr11. I never been of a fan of trailtechs products anyways. Especially when they knock off other people's products. I've seen a lot of their stuff fail. They make a decent kickstand though. Most of the cheap hid ebay upgrade kits my friends and I have used have had mixed results. We've had bulbs and ballast go bad after only having them for a week. Most of the failures were after a couple months. These were on street driven cars. Take the same parts and put them into a offroad light that is going to see major vibration and guess what's going to happen. To build a hid light and sell it at $150 let alone $75 you have to figure they are using the cheapest components they can find, which like most things made in China equals poor quality. Harbor Freight sells this hid for $120 harbor freight and from what I've read on the off-road forums there have be a lot of problems with it. It actually looks like the Kragen light and this light use the same rear housings. I bet you this is the same light with a different front grill and lens. In fact it looks like Lazar Star also uses the same light. Lazar star. Again it looks like they just changed the front lens and grill and are charging a lot more money. At any rate like you said replacement bulbs and ballast for these lights are cheap and can be found for about $100. It's just a matter of how often you are going to have to replace them. If the components do end up lasting for more than a year these lights are a pretty good deal. Only time will tell.
  3. Thanks for looking. They are sold.
  4. Like most things you get what you pay for. With hid's it is no different. Not all hid are created equal. Trying to compare a $100 hid to a $400 hid is like comparing a $200 diamond to a $5000 diamond. Sure they do the same thing but oh so differently. I've seen the kragen special and for $100 its a nice light but it is $100 for a reason. They use cheap bulb and ballasts and a shell made of plastic. I would be very surprised if it lasts more than a season. Their 30day warranty also doesn't inspire much confidence in their product. As for the light output it's ok but could be better. They use a 6000k or higher bulb which puts out less lumens than the 4300K bulbs found in the fuego. Also their driving pattern isn't that great. What it boils down to price. If you can afford a more expensive light I guarantee it outlast and outperform any cheap Chinese alternative.
  5. Ok here are the pictures. They are 35watt bulbs but I can swap them for 50 or 75 if you want me too.
  6. I will post some pictures as soon as I get home
  7. I have a set of Trailtech billet lights that mount where the factory lights go. They are in great condition and will plug into the factory light connectors with out cutting or splicing. They also come with two clear silicon rock covers. If interested shoot me an email. I am asking $80 and will ship them for $7 if you don't live near San Diego. [email protected] or mike@bajadesigns
  8. Just fyi Baja Designs is offering a free mounting bracket and aluminum guard with the HID Fuego kits until the end of February. Thats $150 worth of free parts. They are also offering 10% off Fuego halogen kits. Let me know if you have any questions.
  9. If you want to run halogens I would recommend running the electorsports stator. It's a dual output stator with a least 125watts per output. I used to run two 100watt Fuegos no problem with that stator. They would light up to full brightness as soon as you hit the gas. I used the factory regulator for one light and added a second regulator other light. This season I switched over to twin baja designs Fuego hids and went with Rickystator single output so I would only have to run one reg and battery. I actually had the rickystator rewound to put out more power. I am extremely happy with this new setup.
  10. I just got finished installing Baja Designs new 4" Fuego light and a 250watt Electrosports stator. It's a twin 4" setup mounted to the handle bars. When I get pics I'll show you guys. I've tested the hids and they are extermely bright. Much brighter than trailtechs mr16 hids. I acutally went with twin 100watt bulb halgoens so I wouldn't have to run two seperate batteries and regs. I will be trying them out this weekend to see stator can efficiently run these bulbs.
  11. They are definitely the right pistons. This flat wire ring will only fit on the bottom ring postion and not the top. I am wondering if it might be some kind of tension spacer that goes in between the ring and piston. I've never rebuilt a banshee before but have helped out on some other bikes
  12. I have a set of piston rings for each piston, circlips and and this extra thin hexagonal ring thing. It about the same diameter and thickness as the piston ring but it's not perfectly round. It's like they took a piece of flat wire and bent it every 1/2" to make it into a ring. It's probably nothing that I need to use but I want to make sure.
  13. Hey guys, I am about to install some new pro x pistons and had a question. The box came with two rings and some other smaller circular hexagonal ring looking thing. The box mentions something about a oil control ring. Is this it and do I need to install it. I didn't notice this part when I removed to stock pistons.
