  1. Ok all, thanks for the responses. I will figure it out.
  2. Are there any New Yorker's here that could recommend some builders or shops where they have experience with mods on Banshee's? I am from the New York City area but often travel to upsate new york.
  3. Would anybody here happen know if the pro armor skid plates fit the banshee good or not?
  4. Damn i wish i knew about this trip sooner, it looks like alot of fun. I guess i will have to go next year. ::
  5. I don't think there is anything wrong with the purple flames or any of the stickers on the banshee's, i just prefer to have mine off because i like the way it looks without them. To say that you are going to look for another year just becaue you don't like the colors is a little silly IMO, you could just take the stickers off for that matter.
  6. I have the same banshee (06 SE) and the first thing i did was take the stickers off.
  7. When i went to the dealer there were about 20 Craptors sitting there and only a couple of Banshees, i rode the craptor and it didn't feel nearly as comfortable as the shee and it felt unstable when turning. I was about to leave without getting anything when all of a sudden the girl that works there pulled out the Black Special Edition shee and i didnt even have to think about it, i bought it right on the spot and i love it. Banshees just look so tough, and they really are comfortable to ride.
  8. If i was going to go with any of those it would have to be the 4.0 one, it's not that much different than the stock one as far as looks go. I don't like the way the bigger ones look.
  9. I live in queens and i am also looking for people to ride with, not sure if i can ride this weekend quite yet, but would love to ride with all you guys another time if not this weekend.
  10. Happy B-Day...................
  11. Here....My Webpage
  12. I guess thats the case with all banshees first gear is a very short gear. You could bump up compression and that will wake up any dead spot you have in any gear and the best way to do that is to get smaller than stock domes. Or you could change your gearing and that most cirtenaly will help extend first gear. But really why even worry about first the only downside to that is haveing to downshift hit first around a corner then upshift again for more power and thats just wear on your body after a while but thats part of the fun of the Banshees powerband. Also to get into the powerband really really fast in first is to rev the shit out of it then let the clutch out as fast as you want the rpms to change. It wears on your clutch but sometimes you need that power smack. Espically if you have no room in back of you and you want to climba hill. But if you do that you could always do more for your torque witch Im sure you dont have to much of cause I dont have enough. Then if your spinning to much tire in first you can always work the clutch a little and start in second. Im just spitting out random ideas as hey come to me mabey Im off here. Let me know what you think and I or one of the more seasoned guys will help you. As far as riding tips I think I am just as good as anyone on here. That's it man, you hit it right on the head. That's exactly how it feels. If that's the way they all are then it's cool and i understand why, but I was thinking that maybe it was just mine and it was a problem with the shee. I shift and ride good, i have never owned a quad but i have owned 3 wheelers and dirt bikes before. I love this site, there is so much great info and so many members that know so much about Banshee's. Thank you for weighing in and taking the time to reply, you have very good ideas and you know plenty of good tips!
  13. I guess you could say it bogs, it's just not smooth acceleration like all the other gears. It does get better as it warms up but not totally. I want to try and fix the issue and see why it does that.
  14. No i didn't get my Noss heads yet. I am so confused about what mods i want to do to my shee, i read this site all day long and see so many different ideas and opinions and there are so many products that my brain is fried. I am definately going to go with the Noss heads though. I never owned a quad so this is all new to me, i put toomey pipes on my shee because i thought they were the best pipes, but after finding this site i learned that certain pipes work better with certain mods and i am just so confused about what i want to do. :: I am definately happy with my t6's because i could tell a big difference from when it was stock. First gear is the only gear that feels wrong to me, i'm not sure how to explain it but it doesen't feel smooth through first gear. I hit the throttle and it seems hesitant until i shift to second and then it's smooth through all the other gears, it's definately sick fast but i want 1st gear to be a smooth gear as well. Do you know what i mean by not smooth?
  15. Can someone give me a link and a brand of a timing plate so i could buy one, is the pro design one good? Thanks!
  16. How do i get my shee to start with a half kick? It usually takes me a full kick or 2 to get it started. Thanks
  17. Thank you for the responses all!
  18. I wanted to buy some Skid Plates for the shee and i decided to go with the prm's. On their website they have different sizes, is there a major difference in the sizes or should i just go with the .190, are the other ones just bigger and cover more of the bottom or whats the deal? Thank you in advance!
  19. I think they finally woke up......
  20. Even though i am from New York and i am a met fan i have to say that i think the tigers will win it all, they are playing great ball.
  21. Looks nice man, be sure to keep us posted on the progress and take photos of all the steps.
  22. The dealer where i bought my banshee from is one of the biggest Yamaha dealers in New York and he said there will probably be parts around for 25 years. Hey do any of you know that if someone wanted to go to Canada and buy a Banshee if they would allow you to, how would that work because it needs to be registered here. Just curious.
  23. After alot of great replies from members here the Noss heads seem to be the way to go so Noss it is!! Thank you for taking the time to post and give me info!! JP
  24. Hey man that video was awesome!! Thanks!
