  1. Yup, Who is this?
  2. Hey guys, Another trail rider here....I just bought my shee last week and I got to rip it up a little saturday evening for a few hours. WOW! is all I can say. I did have a piped blaster and this thing is a totally different beast...haha. Its all stock right now except rear stingers and tors removal. But I still love it. Its gonna be a lil while before I really start buying anything expensive for it, but i'm trying to plan ahead. I'm torn right now at choosing between DMC aliens, or PT mids. What do you guys think? Also, do you think it'd be worth it to spend on say the boyesen pro series replacement reeds, or just wait til I can afford an entire cage like the V3's. I had a Boyesen Rad Valve on my blaster, but seems like the V3's are a little better from everyones reviews. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
  3. Not to hijack or anything, but i've been wondering the same thing about the PT mids and DMC's. I'm not hardly ready to buy pipes, but trying to plan ahead. More or less my bike will be stock other than the usual(pipes and reeds). So I was just wondering which would be best for the most low-end. Dont plan on doing any motor work really.
  4. Has that clutch cover got the stock impeller or aftermarket?
  5. There is Windrock ATV park in Knoxville, Tn. I would be up for it as long as nothing's going on.
  6. I ride trails. I definetly dont need open element air filters. As for buying from modquad, The reason i'm asking this is because I just want to buy enough to get free shipping from rmatv.com. Not really just because I want the specific stuff, just looking to add a little to my stock shee, and save on shipping.
  7. Alright, thanks alot guys. I got to thinking about it today, and you guys are right. I think i'm just gonna leave the block off plate on there and get another clutch lever(this stock one sucks..imo). Anyways, Thanks alot!
  8. Thanks, I may see about one of those. I looked on rmatv.com and only found a Modquad one. Is that a good one? It's like 51.99. I'm also gonna get a Filter(either uni, or twin air)...its still got the stocker on it. Heres my list so far... Klotz Super Techniplate (6)32oz bottles...54.99 Uni/Twin Air filter....17.99/23.99 Thinking about ordering those sweet Shock covers too(the red ones with the tribal design)...29.99 And is that the only impeller? Is it a good one? Or should I just wait and get a different one somewhere else?
  9. I may look into that. I think i'm gonna put the bars and grips on hold for right now. I've not even had a chance to get used to whats on it now...haha. Anyone else? Keep them coming. Thanks!
  10. I'm fixing to order some Klotz super techniplate from rmatv.com. I'm gonna go ahead and order like 2gallons, which is like just over $60 bucks. So i figure i'll go ahead and spend another 40-50 and get free shipping while i'm at it. Cuz i want to add something to my stock bike....haha. What do you guys think? I'm thinking bars/grips(msr dominators) or replacement reeds and seeing about porting my stock reed cage(gonna get Lethaface to help me out). Do you think the reeds would be worth it or just wait til I can an entire cage(rad valve, V3's, etc)? If you guys have any other options or something that you think would be better, let me know!
  11. Yeah, I'm thinkin' about ordering either a couple gallons or a 6case of the 32oz jugs from rmatv.com. I guess none of the shops around here are "reputable" haha. One shop can order it, but I think it'd be cheaper in the end to get it from rmatv.com.
  12. I am just wondering where you guys get your oil at? I looked on rockymountainatv.com and found it. I'm just wondering if they're anywhere else that sells it a little cheaper or if thats gonna be my best bet? I dont think they're anywhere close to me that sells it. I called my local yamaha shop and they told me they dont carry it(although i've seen Bel-Ray products there before...so im just wondering if they just said that). But anyways, anyone know?
  13. I just sold my 05' piped, Boyesen Rad valve, and 20" rear kenda klaws for $2300. You just gotta find the right person thats wanting a quality beginner quad and not a "cheap blaster". Thats the part that sucks, most people that want a blaster are just wanting a "cheap quad" and not a good quad for a beginner. Just gotta find the right person. I'd say you'd be looking at right about 2K. Good luck with your sale.
  14. I got to ride my new shee yesterday a lil and I noticed I really dont like how the stock clutch lever is. Its too big and sits too far from the grip. I was thinking about getting an aftermarket clutch lever/perch assembly. My cousin has one of the MSR raptor levers on his and I like it. But I was just wondering if any of them are made to leave the parking brake setup on it? I ride alot of trails and stuff and sometimes have to stop on hill and park and its nice to have that parking brake on there. So does anyone know? :ermm:
  15. Haha, thats kinda what I thought. As far as the fenders, thats just a thought...the more I think about it, the more I think i'll leave them on. Cuz we run into alot of water and mud. As far as the pipe, I'm kinda wanting to try something different, everyone around my area runs fmf like its the only kind of pipe available. I'm thinking about either the PT mids, DMC aliens(possibly 916), or the F7 exhaust(formally phantom).
  16. Yeah, I'm thinking about it, just dont know how I wanna do them yet. I dont really want to switch the carbs or anything like that, just the basics..pipe/reeds mainly.
  17. Ok, I've been doing a lil research on different pipes. From what i've seen...the better woods riding/trail pipes are either PT mids, or dmcs. Are there any other and what would you guys suggest? I want something that has the best low-end....I dont really care if my bike will do 90mph...lmao.
  18. I'm on there.....www.myspace.com/down2earthbubba
  19. I thought the reed spacers were supposed to help quite a bit on the low-end? I probably wont be doing much more to this than just a pipe and reeds really. I just ride trails mainly, and just a weekend warrior type...haha. But thanks for the input! And thanks guys for all the comments! And I think i'll hold on to it at least for a couple weeks BigRed....haha.
  20. You heard right! I went tonight and picked up a 2000, stock shee. Its only been bored .20 over, new tires all around, new brakes, new chain, chain rollers, newly rebuilt, and is in excellent shape for a stock 2000. I bought it from a guy that is retired and all he does is build banshee's and his son drag races them. He's got like three drag shee's and another stock setup with a few bolt on mods. And thats not including this one. He just got done going through it and everything. Its all stock right now, but I plan on throwing a set of pipes, reeds, and reed spacer on it eventually. I'm used to a piped blaster, so the power of this stock shee is pretty satisfying right now...haha. Welp, I'll shut up and show you the good part. The pics arent the best cuz it was in my truck, and dark...but i plan on gettin' some better pics once I get to clean it up real nice.
  21. No longer looking!
  22. You may try to contact Factory 7 ATV(aka Project Blaster, VCATV). Go to factory7atv.com and get their number. I know they used to sell them. I think they still do, just not positive.
  23.
  24. If I was closer, I'd buy it. It looks like a super nice bike! ::
