jetting is simple man u dont even have to take the carbs all the way out...just figure out what jet u need unscrew the carb caps pull everything out loosen the clamps on the carb turn it sideways take the bottom part off (the bowl) and the main jet is right there u cant miss it swap out jets put carbs back together...all u need is a 6mm nutdriver and a phillips screwdriver its simeple i promise
fuck all this talk about shamrock and ortiz we all knew what was goin to happen...and it happened for the third damn time its time for shamrock to hang it up...but i cant wait till ortiz and liddell fight then everyone will see how much of a pussy ortiz really is!!!
i think my clutch is slipping also, when shee is in gear she wants to roll a little so i tightened up clutch cable and it helped out but when shee is in gear and i start her up she will still roll forward a little. is this normal?
the reason i was wondering is i have a buddy that has always told me he runs premium pump gas but for some odd reason he burns up rings like crazy...has to replace them after about every 3rd ride...but we went to some local races this weekend and i found that he is running what he called jet a through his shee it just sounds crazy to me so i just wanted some input
yesterday i did my first rejet ever im new to the banshee world i have pro circuit pipes stock filter with no snorkel and a milled head .030 riding at 3400 ft temps 70's to 100...i went from stock 200 main to 250's put carbs back in a fired her up she started right up but bogs at the slightest touch of throttle its really bad when motor is cold when it gets hot its still there not as bad but still having to feather the throttle.....today i warmed her up on old plugs swaped out plugs pulled choke out halfway shee almost died so i turn air screws out this did next to nothing i spent over 2 hours tinkering with it...finally got frustrated and put her back in the garage...any suggestions would b great i have no idea what to try next
wouldnt want to hastle with tryin to keep the pods clean where i ride its way to dusty for pods the box is almost a must have...yea i have a couple friends that have taken stock filter off just cut it drill holes and adapt the k&n...just seems kinda ghetto to me im a perfectionist
im lookin for a K&n pro flo adapter....i dont need the filter just the adapter if someone could hook me up with a link or hell even sell me one that would be badass
ok thanks for your help i plan to get on it in a little while but im nersin a massive hangover this morning but ill let u know how it does after rejetting
I just did a plug chop last week...it showed i was prett rich smoke ring was darker then it shcould have been the reason i did it was because i wanted to know what condition i was in before i did the new head so 250 mains? isint 250 only one size bigger? im not for... sure this is the first time i have ever rejetted
i got a stock airbox and stock filter....plan to change is in the next couple of weeks...but i want to go ahead and rejet cuz i may not have the money then
no i havn't rejetted after installing pipes....i checked the compression and its in the low 150's on both sides so i didnt figure i had to run race gas but im getting close arent I?
today i finally installed a milled head .030 i know i need to rejet my only other mod is pro circuit pipes riding temps are 70's to mid 90's and elevation is around 3400 ft any suggestions? carbs are stock have never been touched.
this weekend i did a plug chop...results show that i am pretty rich smoke ring was at the very end and darker then light chocolate. this week i will b installing a milled head (.030) i was wondering if i should worry about the richness now or wait and do another chop after i install the head. my only other mod is pro circuit pipes.
i am looking for a used motor doesent matter what year but preferably 95 & up. i dont care if it is blown or whatever as long as all the parts are there....my plan here is to take a piece a shit motor and turn in into a badass motor...over time that is because my cash flow isint all that great!
this week i plan on having a head milled either .020 or .030. my questions are if my shee is all stock except for pipes should i mill it .020 or .030? also in the next week plan on advancing timing maybe to +4 will these mods cause the need for 110 octane or will i be able to stick with pump gas and be ok? also i know shee will run hotter once head is milled whats the best way to keep her cool? if you want u can also throw in some jetting suggestions im at 3400ft riding temps mid 70's to 90's any input is appreciated
thanks
