where would i be able to get the tape? I'm trying to take care of this problem without having to drop off the quad for weeks again. Anybody got any ideas?

I'm definitely planning on taking it back, but just curious....what is thread tape? Could it be used in this case?

ya, so i finally got my she running great and i notice she is leaking some coolant fron the head gasket...ok, this sucks but not horrible. So i check the head nuts to make sure they are the right torque. and of course the first one i touch just keeps fucking turning. So now the bolt will just keep turning and won't tighten. Obviously crossthreaded. Is there any other option besides a coil? Cuz the shop that did the engine work did the same shit when i bored the cylanders, and THEY are the ones that put the engine back together. Anybody got any ideas?

I got the she running decent finally. It sounds good, but it's like one cylinder isn't firing right or something. The left pipe doesn't get hot and doesn't blow out any smoke, just warm air. It might be the left carb because i took the fuel hoses off and the right one seemed a little too dry to have just run. And the right silencer is blowing out light smoke, like it's running fine. Just as a background, .80 over bore, pro curcuit pipes and silencers, stock carbs, 360 main jet and 27.5 pilot jet all the way turned in. Anybody got any advice, i'm just trying to get it running good so i can ride it a bit then sell it.

I got a free day so i picked up some jets and got her running good. But I will keep the price the same for a bit. If the quad doesn't sell within another week or two, i'm gonna take it up to the shop around here and get it professionally dyno tuned. So they can check for any leaks and get it on the dyno, see how much she is really puttin out. Then the price might come up a bit. price 2500

ok, everything is back together and ready to go, and i really just don't feel like taking the shee yet again to the shop so it can spend another 3 weeks there. So i just wana tune it myself. Here are the specs: cylanders bored .80 over with intake and exaust port(nothing huge, just a bit more flow). Pro curcuit pipes and silencers, V force 3 reeds, TORS eliminated, And no air box, just 2 separated air filters. honestly i understand the whole principle of jetting and how it works, i just have no idea where to start from. By the way, i live in buffalo, NY. The bike was stock the last time it was ridden. I had it running a couple times since the parts/engine work and it ran really rich every time so i never let it run for long. Somebody give me some help! please....

I bought this she from a guy in ohio that didn't really know much about them. He only rode it a couple times and it was just too much for him. It was completely stock when i got it and just needed new rear tires. Everything else was perfect....just stock. here are the mods: Cylanders bored .080 over, full intake and exaust port, new pro curcuit pipes and silencers, v-force 3 reeds, throttle system override deleted, nerf bars, rear tires. All plastic repainted black. Just remember i have reciepts for everything, and all the new parts and engine work has not seen the outside yet, so everything is brand new. The only thing that isn't new are the nerf bars, i got them used but they are in good condition. All engine work was done by Hot To Go performance parts in grand island, NY. Unfortunately, i only got a chance to ride it a couple times once i got it, and by the time the work was all done it was winter and i didn't want to ride it outside. The only problem is i have not had a chance to tune and jet the carbs. Once i got everything together i got it to start but it was running rough obviously. But that is easily fixed by somebody that knows how to tune the carbs or just take it to a shop and they can usually do it pretty cheap. Honestly, i bought it as a toy, but never got to enjoy it, and now i just really need the money. So the sooner i can get rid of the banshee the better. I will deliver anywhere within reason, i would like it to stay less then 500 miles but i can work with the buyer for a agreed price. I also have all stock parts that would go with the quad, not that it really makes a difference. :: Asking 3000/BO I am also looking to get a pickup truck, so i would consider some kind of trade

so i got her running now, but as soon as i hook up the tank to the carbs fuel just starts pouring out of the overflow line. I took it apart and it seems like the floats are working as they should, and the valve seems fine....i'm not really sure how to check the valve. And anybody got any ideas about what is wrong and how to fix it?

i'm not getting any current at all. thats the problem.

Ok here is the deal. I just got the shee back because i got it bored and they stripped out one of the holes for the connecting bolts(they had it for over a month just for that... :shoothead:) . But thats not the point. I got it all back together and tryed to start her up. Nothin happened, checked that the carbs were gettin fuel, they were, and checked for spark. There was nothin. I tested the actual rubber plugs for current, nothing. Unhooked the coil to check for power, nothin. Now i'm no expert, i know enough to get my own shit done, but i can't figure out why i'm not getting any power. I checked all the ignition wiring, everything is good and where it should be, no breaks nothin. Somebody please help me out, I'm dying to get this thing running. ::
