  1. Were you out there? I was out there all day hangin out. Figured you were one of those banshee boys out there.
  2. Did any of you make it up to Bentley (VTR) this last weekend? I was going to head up there, but had some other stuff going on. Jeremiah managed to get his quad working right and pulled 3rd place, even being sick as a dog. LOL Thats about it for the race season this year, I hope to see you all out there next year!
  3. Mains are now uploaded!
  4. No problem guys. Thanks for coming out! I'll have the mains uploaded in the morning. I wish I could have gotten some better close up shots on the corners. I'm going to spring for a drone next year I think, get some really great shots. The Toledo Aerial Media guys were out there with their drones too! Cant wait to see those videos. Heres a short click they posted on their instagram page: https://instagram.com/p/zbZQwOkFGL Lastly, I did shoot some stills before the races began. Here is the gallery: https://www.flickr.com/photos/laszlof/sets/72157650988236625/
  5. If you were at this race, I videoed most of the races (missed the last few, plus the 25 lap combo quad class). Here's a link to the youtube playlist. I have all the heats upload, and will be uploading all the mains soon. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLEhy4PttLbFoZC92b56nQboPiHT-drMfR
  6. In case you all didnt hear, the race was canceled due to adverse weather conditions. But never fear! The race has been rescheduled! The new date is March 2nd, 2008. Everyone pray to the weather gods, so we can make this happen!
  7. I dont think that beast would be "race legal" if thats what you asked, LOL. Whitbread, great to hear you'll be heading up there. and best of luck to you! Theres going to be some fierce competition out there, hope you're ready!
  8. Thanks for posting that up Whitbread. As for the ice report, I spoke with Jeremiah this morning, and we have somewhere around 8 inch of good solid black ice, and another 8 inches of white ice. it will be plenty safe for us to be out there. I'm not sure if any of you have heard about the SUV that went through the ice last weekend. Let me give you a little advise if you've never been on White Lake before.. Stay away from the islands! The guy who went through the ice was driving between 2 of the islands on the lake, where the water is shallow and constantly moving. There is usually open water at this point, and if there is ice, its VERY thin. As long as you stay on the open ice, its 100% safe. We would quickly cancel the event if there was any chance the ice was not going to be safe for hundreds of people and equipment to be on it. That being said, I hope you all show up and have a great time!
  9. I will check with Jeremiah and get an ice report to let you all know. Please read the AMA D14 ice racing rules regarding screws. For the most part, only kold kutters are allowed. This is more of a safety issue more than anything else. Last year, someone was completely ran over by another rider, had they been using upside down screws, it could have been very bad.
  10. I would advise against bringing your own booze. The police will likely hastle you. The White Lake Inn (directly on shore from the race) will have plenty of food/drinks for ya, I'm sure they will be running specials all day long. (They usually have like dollar beers or something going on during the day) As for food, I would HIGHLY recommend the pizza. But they have a wide variety of your normal bar food.
  11. Just $5 for spectators!
  12. The weekend is coming up on us pretty quickly. Stud up those tires kids, and lets go racing!
  13. If you are not an AMA and D14 member, Then it'll be $85 for one class, or $100 for 2. If you'll be running the banshee, you can run in the Open Rubber class and Open Studded class. Obviously you'll need 2 sets of tires/wheels to do this. Open Studded will likely be one of the most exciting classes, as most people who race the 450cc studded class, will also race the Open class. It will be very competitive, and depending on turnout, will have multiple heats. Its a lot to pay for one race, I know, but mind you, there are many other races throughout the season, check on the AMA-D14 website (http://www.ama-d14.org) for more information. At these other races, you will only have to pay the $10 entry, and $20/$15 class fee's.So $30 and $45 respectively. Some of the other race promoters charge differently, (most are about the same) so I suggest you contact those promoters for their fee's.
  14. AMA ($40) and D14 ($15) registration are required. Theres a $10 entry fee, and $20 for the first class, second class is only $15. There is will thousands of dollars in prizes given away, everything from gift certificates from many top companies (HMF, Streamline, Pro Armor, Hotcams, koldkutters) , to local companies as well, (Lakes, Bowmans, Motorcycle powersports). This is just a short list, there are MANY more! Top finishers in the quad classes may receive a brand new set of a-arms! Show up, bring your friends and family, its gunna be a great time with lots of food, music by DJ Skee, and a great atmosphere.
  15. Just a heads up, but there will be thousands of dollars in prizes given away at this event. A couple lucky quad racers will even walk away with a brand new set of a-arms. Come show them what you're made of!
