More like hours than miles.. about 2hrs on heavy trails, hwy/city about 13-14. Try searching about baja or desert, a guy from UAE i think rode across a desert and averaged 14mpg.

ok heres the sequence of events.
bike ran fine but had a slipping clutch. took the clutch cover off, replaced clutch springs with stiffer ones, put clutch cover back on. replaced fluids. kicked it on and a distinct knock, like the normal engine noise but louder, comming from around the clutch cover.
bit the bullet and tore it down again.
took the entire clutch side assembly apart, checked the oil for metal shavings, found very few. checked everything and didnt notice anything broken, scratched, nothing. threw it back together...still the damn knock. checked compression even across the board.
i let it idle for about 8 minutes, idled fine, started first kick. ran it around for about 5 minutes still ran hard. but the "knock" is still there.
where is the noise commin from

Reeds will make this sound. Nothing to worry about really, just check the reeds for wear.

As in rod play?, there is hardly any up-down play if any.
Now if your unsure i can send it to a builder to check if the crank is still in true.

do you know what year banshee the crank came off of??
2001, was in the bike until last year Setup was a HJR dune port 185psi with 19cc domes .044 squish for maybe 20-25 hours.

Your best bet is to go back to the stock swingarm, practice launching 2nd gear don't dump the clutch, just feather it. I wouldnt go any bigger than 30mm carbs on a stock cylinder/stroke bike. But these things will do nothing if the bike isnt running correctlly.

Your overcarb'ed for a stock port to begin with, but it shouldnt hurt much up top but carb velocity is deff low. How does it run? have you done a plug chop? Leak down and compression test? +6 swinger with holeshots = fail. Use the search function key words, "plug chop", "best dirt tires", "leak down test", and "compression test". And read read read.

If it runs its worth that much if its not ragged out and sorta clean. Look at the fluids/air filter to see if they where kept up. If all checks out, sell that clunker 660 (no offense lol) and add go fast goodies to the banshee.
